영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 기본심리욕구가 양육행동에 미치는 영향: 소셜 미디어상의 사회적 지지에 의한 양육스트레스의 조절된 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록

영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 기본심리욕구가 양육스트레스를 매개로 양육행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 이와 같은 매개관계가 소셜미디어상의 사회적 지지에 의해 조절되는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 36개월 미만 자녀를 둔 304명의 어머니를 대상으로 서면과 온라인을 통해 질문지 조사를 실시하였으며 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21의 단순 및 중회귀분석을 이용해 매개효과와 조절효과를, 프로세스 매크로 모델 14번을 이용해 조절된 매개효과를 분석하였다. 그리고 부트스트래핑을 이용하여 간접효과의 유의성을 확인하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 어머니의 양육스트레스는 기본심리욕구와 긍정적 양육행동 간 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육스트레스가 양육행동에 미치는 영향은 소셜미디어상의 사회적 지지에 의해 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 소셜미디어상의 사회적 지지 수준이 높을 때보다 낮을 때, 양육스트레스가 긍정적 양육행동에 미치는 부적 영향은 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니의 기본심리욕구가 양육스트레스를 매개로 양육행동에 미치는 간접영향은 소셜미디어 상의 사회적 지지에 의해 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 어머니의 기본심리욕구가 양육스트레스를 매개로 양육행동에 미치는 간접영향이 소셜미디어상의 사회적 지지 수준에 따라 차이가 있음을 의미하는 것이다. 이 연구 결과는 어머니의 긍정적 양육행동 증진을 위해 기본심리욕구와 양육스트레스 간 관계 관리 시, 인터넷 기반의 소셜미디어상의 사회적 지지 활용의 중요성을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on how parenting stress mediates the relationship between basic psychological needs and parenting behaviors in mothers with infants. The study also looks at how social support on social media might moderate this mediated relationship. To empirically verify a moderated mediation pathway, data were collected from 304 mothers of children under 3 years of age through paper questionnaires and online questionnaires and were analyzed using simple regression, multiple regression, process macros model 14 and bootstrapping in IBM SPSS Statistics 22 for Windows. The results are as follows. First, mothers’s parenting stress mediated the relationship between basic psychological needs and parenting behaviors. Second, mothers' parenting stress on parenting behavior was moderated by social support on social media. Parenting stress had a greater negative effect on positive parenting behavior when the level of social support on social media was low rather than high. Third, mothers’ social support on social media positively moderated both paths of this mediated relationship. Depending on the level of social support on social media, the indirect effect of basic psychological needs on parenting behaviors through parenting stress was significant. The findings of this study have important theoretical and practical implications for the use of Internet-based social support when managing basic psychological needs and parenting stress in relation to mothers' positive parenting behavior.
