국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중국 초등학생의 스마트폰 과의존과 학업소진의 관계에서 어머니의 온정적 양육방식의 조절효과를 검증하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 중국 A 시와 B 시에 소재한 4개의 초등학교에 재학 중인 4, 5, 6학년 초등학생 704명과 그들의 어머니를 대상으로 선정하였다. 수집된 자료로 기술통계, 독립표본 t- test 분석, Pearson의 적률상관 분석, 위계적 중다회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남학생의 학업소진과 스마트폰 과의존 경향성이 여학생에 비해 높은 것으로 드러냈으며, 연령에 따라 증가하는 추세이다. 초등학생의 학업소진이 스마트폰 과의존에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만 어머니의 온정적 양육방식이 스마트폰 과의존에 부적 영향을 나타냈다. 둘째, 초등학생과 그들의 어머니의 인구 사회학 변수를 통제한 후, 학업소진이 스마트폰 과의존에 영향에서 어머니의 온정적 양육방식의 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 초등학생의 스마트폰 과의존에 관한 완화, 치료 및 건강을 향상하는 프로그램의 기초자료를 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effect of Chinese mothers’ affectionate parental style on the association between their children’s academic burnout and smartphone overdependence. For this, a survey was conducted with 704 Chinese elementary school students from fourth to sixth graders in A city and B city, China. Descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were performed to analyze data. First, male students showed higher levels of academic burnout and smartphone overdependence than female students, and the tendency of academic burnout and smartphone overdependence was increasing with age. The students’ academic burnout was positively associated with their smartphone overdependence but negatively associated with their mothers’ affectionate parenting style. Second, after controlling for the students and their mothers’ demographic characteristics variables, the mothers’ affectionate parenting style was found to moderate the relationship between their children’s academic burnout and smartphone overdependence. This study provides basic data for parent education and therapy programs to alleviate the elementary school students’ smartphone overdependence and to improve their mental health.
