유아교사의 디지털 테크놀로지 지식, 기술, 태도와 디지털 매체 활용 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 디지털 테크놀로지 지식, 기술, 태도와 디지털 매체 활용에 대한 일반적인 경향과 배경변인에 따른 차이를 알아보고, 디지털 테크놀로지 지식, 기술, 태도와 디지털 매체의 활용 간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하고 있는 만 3, 4, 5세 유아반 담임교사 255명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사는 디지털 테크놀로지와 관련하여 기술, 지식, 태도 순으로 높은 점수를 나타냈으며, 디지털 매체 활용의 경우 하드웨어는 스마트폰을 가장 많이 활용하였고 소프트웨어의 경우 전반적으로 제작 프로그램을 가장 많이 활용하고 있었다. 둘째, 유아교사의 배경변인에 따른 디지털 테크놀로지 지식, 기술, 태도의 차이를 살펴본 결과 성별에서는 여성이, 연령에서는 30대 미만이, 디지털 관련 연수 경험 여부에서는 연수 경험이 있는 교사의 디지털 테크놀로지에 대한 지식, 기술, 태도가 높게 나타났다. 디지털 매체 활용의 경우 담당 연령이 높고 디지털 관련 연수 경험이 있는 교사일수록 디지털 매체를 더 자주 활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교사의 디지털 테크놀로지 지식, 기술, 태도와 디지털 매체 활용 간의 관계를 분석한 결과 전반적으로 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 유아교사의 디지털 테크놀로지 지식, 기술, 태도의 특성을 밝히고 유아교육 현장에서의 디지털 매체 활용에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the general trends of early childhood teachers’ digital technology knowledge, skill, attitude and digital media utilization, and to investigate the relationship between digital technology knowledge, skill, attitude and digital media utilization. In this study, teachers overseeing classes of 3, 4, and 5-year-old children in preschools and daycare centers were selected as the research subjects. A questionnaire was used to find out the relationship between digital technology knowledge, skill, attitude, and digital media utilization of early childhood teachers. The research results derived from the analysis were as follows: First, the result indicated strong general trends of digital technology in the order of skill, knowledge, and attitude. In the case of digital media utilization, the smartphone and search program showed the highest frequency. Second, as a result of examining the differences in digital technology knowledge, skill, and attitude according to the background variables of early childhood teachers, female teachers, teachers under the age of 30, and teachers with experience in digital-related training showed higher results. In the case of digital media utilization, teachers with higher age in charge and with experience in digital-related training experience used digital media more frequently. Third, there was an overall significant positive correlation between early childhood teachers’ digital technology knowledge, skill, attitude and digital media utilization. The results of this study are significant in identifying the characteristics of early childhood teachers’ digital technology knowledge, skill, attitude and providing basic data for the utilization of digital media in early childhood education.
