국문 초록

본 연구는 충남지역의 실정을 반영한 작은 유치원 모형(안)을 개발함으로써 소규모 유치원의 교육력 및 교육의 질을 제고하기 위한 구체적이고 종합적인 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 충남교육청 소속 유치원 교사를 대상으로 설문조사와 포커스그룹인터뷰를 실시하여 소규모 유치원의 운영 관련 어려움과 소규모 유치원 재구조화에 대한 의견, 공동교육과정 운영 지원의 필요성 및 시스템 보완 요구를 조사하였다. 그 결과 지자체와 교육청이 함께 협력하여 유아의 교육과 돌봄을 가장 효과적인 방법으로 운영할 수 있도록 함께 계획을 세우고 운영하는 것이 필요함을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 단기적 관점에서 충남지역 소규모 유치원의 질 제고 측면에서 통합유치원을 위한 요건을 제안한 소규모 유치원 통합형 ‘작은 유치원’ 모형과 소규모 유치원 지원을 위한 ‘작은 유치원’ 공동교육과정 클러스터 모형, 장기적 관점에서 ‘작은 유치원’과 기관 연계 모형으로 유아교육 및 보육 기관 연계 모형, 유치원-지역돌봄 기관 연계 모형, 유아-초등-중등 통합운영학교 모형을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop a small kindergarten model that reflects the realities of the Chungcheongnam-do province, and to seek specific and comprehensive directions for improving the educational capacity and quality of small kindergartens. To this end, surveys and focus group interviews were conducted with kindergarten teachers affiliated with the Chungnam Office of Education to investigate difficulties related to the operation of small kindergartens, opinions on restructuring small kindergartens, the need for support for the operation of a joint curriculum, and demands for system supplementation. As a result, it was confirmed that local governments and education offices are required to plan and engage in together so that they can operate the education and care of young children in the most effective way. Based on this, requirements for integrated kindergartens in terms of the quality of small kindergartens in Chungcheongnam-do, and a joint curriculum cluster model for supporting small kindergartens were proposed from a short-term perspective. And an institutional linkage model for future education, early childhood education and childcare institutions, a kindergarten-local care agency linkage model, and an integrated operation school model for kindergartens-elementary-secondary schools were presented from a long-term perspective.
