국문 초록

본 연구목적은 놀이중심교육과정에서 지속가능발전교육(ESD)을 실천하기 위한 실행연구로 실행과정에서 나타난 유아의 변화와 교사의 배움을 살펴보고자 한다. 연구 참여자는 D시에 소재한 H어린이집 만 5세 유아 17명과 연구자 본인으로 연구기간은 2021년 6월부터 2021년 10월까지 약 4개월 동안 진행되었다. 연구절차는 Kemmis와 McTaggart(1988)의 실행연구 모형을 토대로 ‘계획-실행-관찰-반성’을 포함하는 4단계 순환과정으로 이루어졌으며 자료수집은 놀이관찰, 보육일지, 기록작업 등 다양한 방법을 활용하였다. 자료분석은 수집된 자료를 반복적으로 읽고 범주화하는 과정을 통해 의미 있는 내용을 도출하였다. 이에 따른 연구결과 1차 실행에서는 ‘버려진 종이 되돌아보기’, ‘종이 재사용을 위한 환경적 공간 마련해 주기’, ‘종이가 만들어지는 과정 미디어 시청하기’가 실시되었고 2차 실행에서는 ‘무인종이판다 가게 놀이’, ‘종이 구매를 통한 시장경제 배우기’, ‘합리적인 소비문화 생각하기’가 실시되었다. 이러한 실행과정에서 유아의 변화는 ‘다양한 경험을 통한 지식 확장’, ‘우리라는 공동체 의식 형성’, ‘함께 실천하는 분위기에 동참하기’로 나타났고, 교사의 배움은 ‘앎을 넘어 총체적으로 사고하기’, ‘놀이와 교육을 연결한 교수학습 전략 모색하기’, ‘성찰하며 체득화하기’로 나타났다

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in young children and teachers’ learning in the implementation process as an implementation study to practice ESD in the play-centered curriculum. The participants were 17 5-year-old children from H daycare center located in D city and the researcher myself, and the period was conducted for about four months from June to October 2021. The research process consisted of a 4-step cycle of ‘planning-action-observation- reflection’ based on the action research model of Kemmis and McTaggart(1988). For data collection, various methods such as play observation, childcare daily journal, and record work were used. The collected data were repeatedly read, with important keywords selected and categorized to derive meaningful content. As a result of this study, in the first implementation, ‘looking back on the discarded paper’, ‘creating an environmental space for paper reuse’ and ‘watching media on paper making’ were conducted. In the second round of implementation, ‘unmanned sell store play’, ‘learning the market economy through paper purchase’ and ‘thinking about a reasonable consumption culture’ were conducted. Through this implementation process, children’s changes were found to be ‘expanding knowledge through various experiences’, ‘forming a sense of community called us’ and ‘participating in the atmosphere of practicing together’. And teachers’ learning was found to be ‘thinking beyond knowledge as a whole’, ‘searching for teaching and learning strategies that connect play and education’ and ‘reflection and learning’.
