국문 초록

본 연구는 중년기 남성의 은퇴불안과 노화불안이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에서 적응적 인지 정서조절전략의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 G시, D시, S시에서 경제활동을 하는 만 40세부터 만 64세까지 중년기 남성 320명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 이 중 255부의 결과를 분석하였다. 은퇴불안, 노화불안, 적응적 인지 정서조절전략, 심리적 안녕감 변인을 측정하고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 통계프로그램과 Amos 26.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중년기 남성의 은퇴불안은 심리적 안녕감에 직접적으로 유의한 부적 영향을 미친 반면, 노화불안은 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 적응적 인지 정서조절전략은 노화불안과 심리적 안녕감 관계를 유의하게 매개하는 것으로 나타나 완전매개 경로를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 중년기 남성의 노화불안과 은퇴불안의 개별적 특성을 확인하였으며, 적응적 인지 정서조절전략의 유용성을 확인했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

This study attempts to identify the mediating role of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy in the relationship among anxiety of retirement and ageing, and psychological well-being among middle-aged men, respectively. The final data of 255 working men, aged 40 to 64 from three cities in South Korea, was analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and Amos 26.0. Four research variables were assessed with retirement anxiety, ageing anxiety, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy, and psychological well-being. The findings of the study are as follows. First, retirement anxiety on psychological well-being among the middle-aged men had a significant direct effect and ageing anxiety had no significant direct effect. Second, a significant full-mediational path through adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy from ageing anxiety to psychological well-being was identified. The present findings imply the distinctive role of retirement- and ageing anxiety and support the contribution of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy for ageing anxiety among middle-aged men. Study limitations and suggestions for further studies were discussed.
