대학생의 비대면 화상상담 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 대학생 내담자의 화상상담 경험을 보다 깊이 이해하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 연구를 위해 화상상담을 15회기 이상 경험한 적 있는 P대학의 학생상담센터 내담자 9명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 진행하였다. 수집된 자료는 이들의 경험을 심층적으로 이해하기 위해 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석되었고, 구체적으로는 Giorgi의 4단계에 따랐다. 연구결과: 자료의 분석 결과, 총 4개의 구성요소와 12개의 하위 구성요소가 도출되었다. 구성요소는 ‘화상상담에 대한 낯설음으로 상담을 시작함’, ‘화상상담에 점차 적응함’, ‘핵심문제가 다루어지면서 성장을 경험함’, ‘화상상담의 한계로 인해 아쉬움을 느낌’이다. 논의 및 결론: 연구 결과를 통해 화상상담이 기존의 대면상담과 비슷한 과정으로 내담자를 돕는다는 것과 화상상담만의 특징이 존재한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 앞으로 화상상담의 활용에 실제적인 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to more deeply understand the videoconferencing counseling experience of college students. Method: For this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 9 clients of the Student Counseling Center of University P who had experienced videoconferencing counseling more than 15 times. The collected data were analyzed using a phenomenological research method to understand their experiences in depth, and specifically followed Giorgi’s 4 steps. Results: As a result of data analysis, a total of 4 components and 12 sub-components were derived. The components are ‘starting counseling with unfamiliarity with videoconferencing counseling’, ‘gradual adjustment to videoconferencing counseling’, ‘experienced growth as key issues are addressed’, and ‘feeling regret due to limitations of videoconferencing counseling’. Conclusion: Through the results of the study, it was found that videoconferencing counseling helps clients in a process similar to that of the existing face-to-face counseling, and that there are only characteristics of videoconferencing counseling. This is expected to be of practical help to the use of videoconferencing counseling in the future.
