국문 초록

본 연구는 숲 체험을 통한 미술활동이 유아의 친사회적 행동과 창의성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 G시에 소재한 B어린이집의 만 5세 유아 40명을 대상으로 실험집단과 비교집단을 각각 20명씩 선정하였다. 선행연구 및 문헌 탐색을 통해 숲 체험을 통한 미술활동의 내용요소 및 교수-학습 방법을 추출하였고, 이를 바탕으로 숲 체험을 활용한 미술활동을 구성하였다. 실험집단 유아에게는 숲 체험을 통한 미술활동을 실시하였으며, 비교집단 유아에게는 일반적인 미술활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 숲 체험을 통한 미술활동을 한 실험집단이 일반적인 미술활동을 한 비교집단의 유아에 비해 친사회성이 유의미하게 증진된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 숲 체험을 통한 미술활동을 한 실험집단이 비교집단 유아들에 비해 창의성에도 긍정적인 영향을 보였다. 이는 숲 체험을 통한 미술활동이 유아들의 친사회적 행동과 창의성을 향상시키는데 효율적인 교수․학습방법이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study was to examine the effects of forest experience art activities on young children s prosocial behavior and creativity. The subjects were 40 five-year-old young children in the B childcare center located in G city. The experimental group carried out art activities in a forest experience. The results were as follows. Experimental groups performed art activities in a forest experience, while comparative groups performed general art activities. First, the experimental group showed higher prosocial behavior than the comparative group. Second, the experimental group showed higher creativity than the comparative group. Consequently, the art activities in the forest experience significantly promoted young children s prosocial behavior corresponding to sub-factors of leadership, assistance, communication, consideration, trying new approaches, sharing, empathy, and control. Moreover, for the experimental group, conducting art activities in the forest experience showed a positive influence on creativity compared to the comparative group. The sub-factors of creativity are fluency, originality, openness, and sensitivity, and the results of this study suggest that art activities in a forest experience are worthwhile for utilizing as a proper and meaningful method to improve young children s prosocial behavior and creativity.
