국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 숲교육 경험, 생태감수성, 행복감, 정서지능과의 관계를 알아보고, 숲 교육을 위한 교사의 다양한 변인을 연구하는 기초자료로 사용하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 경기도, 서울, 인천시 유아교사 216명의 교사를 연구대상으로 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 빈도분석과 백분율, t-검증, 일원배치분산분석, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사의 생태감수성은 교사의 연령이 높을수록, 경력이 3년 이상으로 높을수록, 숲교육 계획에서 월간계획안 및 단위활동으로 포함되었을 경우, 숲교육 연수 시간이 많을수록, 교사가 중학교 이전에 시골에서 자란 경험이 있을수록 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 생태감수성과 행복감, 정서지능은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아교사의 숲 교육에 대한 교사 연수 및 교사의 직접적인 경험이 숲교육에 대한 영향력이 있음을 시사하고, 유아교사의 행복감, 정서지능과 상관이 있는 생태감수성 함양을 통해 교사가 행복한 숲교육이 될 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between early childhood teachers’ forest education experience, ecological sensitivity, happiness, and emotional intelligence. This study is also designed to act as baseline data for the examination of various variables among forestry teachers. To achieve this purpose, 216 early childhood teachers in Gyeonggi-do, Seoul and Incheon were studied. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and correlation analysis. The main results were the following. First, the order of teachers’ tendencies toward each variable was ecological sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and happiness. Second, teachers’ ecological sensibility was positively correlated with their ages, work experience (more than three years), length of forestry education training (in the case that their educational curriculum includes monthly plans and unit activities), and whether the educator had experience living in a rural area before middle school. Third, the data showed a correlation between ecological sensitivity, happiness, and emotional intelligence in early childhood teachers. These results suggest that the training received by teachers and their firsthand experience of forests have an impact on how they teach forestry. It is expected that high levels of happiness, emotional intelligence, and ecological sensitivity in early childhood teachers will translate into a more pleasant method of teaching forestry.
