유아-교사 관계 및 또래 유능감이 유아인성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 인성발달에 있어 교사와 또래의 영향력을 고려하여 유아-교사 관계와 또래 유능감이 유아인성에 미치는 영향력을 알아보았다. 연구대상은 G광역시에 위치한 유치원과 어린이집에 재원 중인 만 3-5세 유아 193명과 그들의 담임교사 26명이었으며, 유아-교사 관계, 또래 유능감 그리고 유아인성발달 검사지를 활용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 통해 상관분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 친밀한 유아-교사관계와 의존적 유아-교사관계는 유아인성과 정적인 상관이, 갈등적 유아-교사 관계는 부적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 또래 유능감의 하위 영역 중 사교성, 친사회성, 주도성 모두는 유아인성과 정적인 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아인성에 대한 유아-교사 관계와 또래 유능감의 설명력은 각각 35.7%와 50%로, 또래 변인이 교사 변인에 비해 유아인성에 강력한 영향력을 미치는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구는 유아인성에 있어 교사와 또래 변인의 영향력을 알아봄으로써 유아인성에 관한 실제적인 이해를 제공하고 향후 유아인성 프로그램 개발에 도움이 되고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study explored the relationship between child-teacher relationship, peer competence, and child personality. For this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 193 children aged 3–5 years and their 26 teachers in G metropolitan city. Data were analyzed by correlation and hierarchical analysis using the SPSS 21.0 program. The results were as follows. First, child personality correlated positively with child-teacher closeness and dependence and negatively with child-teacher conflict. Second, child personality positively correlated with sociability, pro-social behavior, and autonomy. Moreover, this result shows that peer competence provides a more powerful explanation than child-teacher relationship. This study suggests that both teachers and peers should be considered to improve child personality development. Peer competence, in particular, strongly affects child personality, followed by child-teacher relationship. It is therefore expected that the results of this study will help in the practical understanding of child personality and be used as basic data for the development of child personality education programs in the near future.
