자녀 양육 경험을 통한 기혼 유아교사의 교사 자질 변화 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 자녀 양육 경험을 통하여 기혼 유아교사가 어떠한 자질 변화를 갖게 되는지를 알아보고자하였다. 자녀를 가지고 있는 기혼 유아교사 4명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 심층면담을 실시하였다. 반구조화된 면담을 통해 각 연구 참여자별 2회씩 총 8회의 심층면담을 진행하였다. 자료를 분석하기 위하여 먼저각 연구 참여자별 심층 면담한 전사 자료를 반복적으로 읽어가며 유아교사 자질의 범주와 내용을 참고하여의미를 분석하여 최종 범주를 도출하였다. 연구결과, 자녀 양육 경험을 통하여 유아와 부모에 대한 이해및 교육과정 운영 등 교사의 자질에 긍정적인 변화가 이루어졌음을 알 수 있었다. 기혼 유아교사는 자녀양육 경험을 통해 개별 유아를 더 깊이 이해하고 수용하는 태도와 자신의 양육 지식에 기초하여 이해하는태도를 갖게 되었다. 또한 부모의 입장에서 생각하며 그들의 마음을 공감하게 되었으며, 교육과정 운영에있어서도 부모의 마음으로 식습관 교육 및 위생 및 청결 교육, 안전 교육, 사회성 교육을 실천하려는 변화를보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 자녀 양육 경험이 유아교사의 자질 향상에 중요한 요인임을 알려줄 뿐만 아니라기혼 유아교사가 가정과 일을 병행할 수 있는 근무환경으로 개선하는데 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the teacher quality changes of married early childhood teachers through their child rearing experiecnes. Four married preschool teachers with children were selected as participants in the study and in-depth interviews were conducted. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews which were conducted twice for each participant for a total of eight times. All interview data were transcribed and the final category was derived by repeated reading of the data. As results, teachers reported that there were positive changes in their understandings of parents and children through their experience of rearing children. They also reported changes in how to manage the curriculum. Specifically, married early childhood teachers have gained a deeper understanding and acceptance of individual children. From the perspective of children’s parents they also came to more focus on guiding young children in classrooms including education for nutrition, hygiene, safety, and social relationships. The results suggest that the child rearing experience is an important factor that has a strong positive influence on the qualities of early childhood teachers. They provide an implication for improving early childhood teachers’ working environment where they work as working moms.
