예비유아교사 대상 미술교과교육 교과목의 운영 실태 및 개선 방안

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사 양성대학에서 이루어지고 있는 예비유아교사 대상 미술교과교육 교과목의 강의계획서 분석 및 강의자 면담을 통하여 교과목 운영 실태를 파악하고 개선 방안을 도출하고자 수행되었다. 연구 결과 교과목의 목표는 ‘유아미술교육 의 의미와 목적 이해’, ‘유아미술교육의 교수학습방법 습득’, ‘유아미술교육 환경 구축 및 유지 능력 함양’이 제시되었으며 이 중 ‘유아미술교육의 교수학습방법 습득’이 가장 강조되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 교과목 내용은 크게 이론, 실기, 발표로 나뉘었는데 이론은 ‘유아미술교육의 필요성과 목적’, ‘미술의 요소와 원리’, ‘유아미술교육 교수학습방법’, ‘환경 구성’으로 구 성되었으며 실기의 경우 유아미술교육에서 주로 사용되는 재료와 기법을 실습해보는 방식으로 이루어지고 있었다. 평가는 과제, 지필고사, 발표를 중심으로 이루어졌으며 미술 능력에 대한 평가보다는 수업에의 적용 능력에 대한 평가가 주된 것으 로 나타났다. 실태 파악을 토대로 예비교사 대상 미술교과교육 강의를 계획함에 있어서 목표에서 미술에 대한 전문성 향상 을, 내용에서 미술을 알고 즐길 수 있도록 하는 내용을, 평가에서 유아교사에게 요구되는 전문성에 대한 논의를 바탕으로 한 평가를 고려할 것을 제안하였다. 또한 미술교과교육의 개선을 위해 실기 교육에 있어서 내용과 방법에 대한 재고, 미술교 육전문가와 유아교육전문가의 협업, 비교과 프로그램 및 동아리 등을 통한 미술 경험 기회의 확대를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the status in art education subjects for the pre-service early childhood teachers and draw directions for the improvement through syllabuses and interviews with lecturers. Study shows that the course objectives are ‘understanding the meaning and purpose of early childhood art education’, ‘acquiring teaching methods for early childhood art education’ and ‘building and maintaining an environment for early childhood art education’. The contents of the subject are divided into theory, practice and presentation. In the theory, it consists of necessity and purpose of early childhood art education , element and principle of art , teaching methods for early childhood art education and environmental composition . In the practice, materials and techniques are used mainly in early childhood art education. The evaluation consists of homework, written test, and presentation. The main focus of evaluation is the ability to apply art classes rather than art itself. Based on the result, the lecture plan proposes the course objectives for the improvement of art expertise, the content to know and enjoy art for pre-service early childhood teachers and the evaluation for the improvement of art expertise required to early childhood teachers. In order to improve art education subject, it is necessary to reconsider the contents and methods of art practice, cooperate with art education experts and early childhood education experts, and provide opportunities to increase art experiences of pre-service early childhood teachers.
