국문 초록

본 연구는 당뇨병 환자들의 내외통제성과 스트레스 대처능력이 우울증에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 진행하였다. 당뇨병 환자 30대에서 70대 106명을 선정하여 당뇨병 환자들의 내외통제성, 스트레스 대처능력이 우울에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 당뇨병 환자들의 외적통제성이 높은 환자가, 내적 통제성이 높은 환자에 비해 우울정도가 높았다. 둘째, 당뇨병 환자들의 스트레스 대처능력이 높은 당뇨병 환자는 우울정도에 차이가 없었으며, 우울에 대한 내외통제성과 스트레스 대처능력의 상대적 영향력은 내외통제성이 13.4%였다. 본 연구의 의의는 당뇨병 환자의 외적통제가 우울증에 영향을 주며 통제소재 개선으로 우울증을 감소시키고 예방할 수 있다는 근거 자료를 제시하였다는 것에 있다.

영문 초록

This study has focused to understand how the external and internal control of the diabetes patients and their stress coping ability would affect the depression. 106 of the diabetes patients from the age of 30 to 70 were selected to see how their external and internal control and their stress copping ability would affect the depression. The followings are the results gained from the research. First of all, the patients of high external control appeared to have a higher depression level comparing to the other patients of high internal control. It also turned out that the diabetes patients of the high stress coping ability would not have a difference in the depression level. Second, for the relative influence of the patients’ external and internal control and stress coping ability towards the depression, the external control was observed to be 13.4%. The study is determined significant as it has proposed basic data to prove how the external control of the diabetes patients would affect the depression. The study also confirmed that the improvement of the control would preserve the depression as it works on the reduction of the depression.
