미술관 이미지에 대한 초등학생들의 내러티브 유형 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학생 5학년들의 미술관에 대한 내러티브를 바탕으로 미술관 이미지 그리고 관 람 경험을 탐구하고, 그 이면의 의미를 해석해내어 앞으로의 미술관 교육 방향을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 기간은 2012년 10월- 2013년 11월까지이며, 경기도 소재의 초등학교 5 학년 10명이 연구에 참여하였다. Clandinin & Connelly(2000)의 내러티브 탐구 절차를 바탕으 로 하였으며, 현장 노트와 심층 면접 녹음 자료, 연구 일지, 스크랩 등의 자료를 수집하였고, 녹음 자료 전사의 반복 해독과 코딩 작업을 통해 분석 및 해석하였다. 삼각검증법과 연구 일 지, 지도 조언 등을 통해 연구의 타당도와 신뢰도를 높이고자 노력하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학생 5학년이 본 미술관의 이미지는 미 술과 미술관을 긍정, 부정 중 어떻게 인식하느냐에 따라 크게 4 유형으로 나눌 수 있다. 둘째, 초등학생들이 가진 미술관 이미지는 미술관과 관련된 다른 경험으로 인해 긍정적으로 변화될 수 있다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면 초등학생 5학년을 대상으로 한 미술관의 이미지는 미술 관 문화 향유 태도와 밀접한 관련이 있고, 대부분 고정관념으로 고착화되어 있지만 색다른 미술관 경험으로 충분히 그 이미지가 변화할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to give directions to elementary art education by making a narrative inquiry into the art museums of elementary 5th graders and interpreting the meaning of their experiences. this research has two stages over 1 year. The first stage of the study on the image of the art museums was conducted from September to December in 2012, The second stage of the study on the art museum image transformation by the experimental exhibition continued from December in 2012 to February in 2013. Ten students in 5th grade were selected for this study. Through the process of this study, the following conclusions were produced. Firstly, images of the art museum by elementary 5th graders were categorized into 4 basic types according to their preference of the art and art museums. Secondly, images of the art museum by elementary 5th graders could be changed positively with other experiences related to an art museum. Accordingly, images of the art museum by elementary 5th graders were closely related to the enjoyment of the art museum. And they were stored as a stereotype like 'Art museums display Western paintings drawn well'. But they could be changed positively with other great experiences related to an art museum, which become different kinds of new images. Therefore, contents of the expanded identity of art museums from original features to complex cultural facility focused on communication should be added to the future art education. Also, art museum education programs based on 4 types will be required for teachers so to help students enjoy the art and culture in their life forever.
