국문 초록

이 논문은 생성형 인공지능의 발전과 기술적 특이점이 인간 주체와 무의식, 그리고 사회적 구조에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 기술 발전이 가속화되면서, AI와 인간의 관계는 단순한 도구적 활용을 넘어 인간의 인지, 감정, 욕망, 그리고 무의식에까지 깊숙이 개입하고 있다. 본 연구는 지젝과 라캉의 정신분석학을 활용하여 AI와 무의식의 상호작용을 탐구하며, 특히 기술자본주의와 기술자유주의가 생산하는 새로운 권력구조와 주체 형성 방식에 주목한다. 우선, 신자유주의와 기술자유주의가 결합하면서 인간은 자기 자신을 끊임없이 최적화해야 하는 ‘자기-기업가’로 전환되고, AI는 이러한 자기 계발의 강박을 더욱 강화하는 방식으로 작동한다. 또한, AI 기반의 디지털 환경은 주체의 욕망을 구조적으로 변화시키며, 무의식의 외재화를 촉진하여 전통적 상징 질서와 결여의 개념을 해체한다. 특히, AI는 인간의 무의식을 거울처럼 반영하는 동시에 새로운 형태의 욕망을 창출하며, 이에 따라 인간 주체는 점차 ‘챗봇처럼’ 변해가는 양상을 보인다. 이러한 기술적 환경에서 인간의 불안과 스트레스 등은 단순한 개인적 증상이 아니라 기술자유주의적 질서가 만들어낸 사회적 증상으로 해석될 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 증상을 단순한 병리적 현상으로 간주하는 것이 아니라, 그것이 기술자본주의의 모순을 드러내는 공간이자 새로운 저항과 해방의 가능성을 품고 있는 영역임을 살피고자 한다. 마지막으로, 본 연구는 AI 시대에서 인간 주체가 간극의 주체로서 현실의 결여와 모순을 제거하려는 기술자본주의적 경향에 저항하고, 죽음충동을 새로운 기표 생산(S1)의 원동력으로 전환하는 전략을 통해 인간 주체는 기술적 환경 속에서도 윤리적 행위자로서의 가능성을 모색하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This paper analyzes the impact of generative AI and the technological singularity on human subjectivity, the unconscious, and social structures. As technological advancements accelerate, AI is no longer just a tool but deeply integrates into human cognition, emotions, desires, and the unconscious. Drawing on Žižek and Lacanian psychoanalysis, this study explores the interaction between AI and the unconscious, focusing on how techno-liberalism reshape power structures and subject formation. First, as neoliberalism merges with techno-liberalism, individuals face increasing pressure to optimize themselves as “entrepreneurs of himself”, with AI further reinforcing this compulsion. Additionally, AI-driven digital environments transform the structure of desire, externalizing the unconscious and dismantling traditional symbolic order and lack. AI not only mirrors human unconscious structures but also generates new forms of desire, leading to a shift where human subjects gradually “become chatbot-like” in their engagement with digital systems. In this technological landscape, anxiety and stress are not merely individual symptoms but structural effects of the techno-liberal order. Rather than reducing these to pathological conditions, this paper argues that such symptoms expose contradictions within techno-capitalism, offering spaces for resistance and potential liberation. Finally, this paper examines how, in the AI era, human subjectivity can resist the techno-capitalist drive to eliminate lack and contradiction, instead mobilizing death drive as a force for the production of new signifiers(S1). Through this strategy, the subject remains an ethical agent within technological environments, sustaining a critical position in the face of AI-driven transformations.
