“충분히 좋은” 헤겔: 위니컷-비온 정신분석과 치유적 변증법

국문 초록

귄터 벨브리거의 『인식의 상처와 치유』는 “질병과 건강의 원천으로서 인식의 문제”라는 주제 하에서 헤겔 철학을 치유의 관점에서 읽어 볼 수 있는 관점을 제공한다, 이렇게 헤겔을 임상적 관점에서 해석해 볼 때 도널드 위니컷의 “충분히 좋은 엄마”의 “충분히 좋은”은 임상적 헤겔의 또 다른 이름인 “충분히 좋은 헤겔”의 핵심 개념이 된다. 위니컷이 말하는 “충분히 좋은 엄마”는 완벽한 엄마가 아닌 내적 갈등을 품은 불완전한 엄마가 아이에게 오히려 더 건강하고 창조적인 엄마임을 주창한다. 완벽에 대한 집착으로부터 벗어난 “충분히 좋은”의 상태가 역설적으로 진실한 완벽함에 이른다는 것이다. 위니컷의 사유와 접목된 충분히 좋은 헤겔에서 임상적 의미의 절대는 모든 모순을 해결해 내는 강력한 힘의 절정으로서 절대가 아니라 자기를 비워냄과 진무한(자신 속에 유한자를 포함하고 있는 무한으로 유한자 전체 속에서 자신을 실현해 나가는 절대)의 운동을 통해 구현되는 사랑과 영성을 지칭한다. 또한 충분히 좋은 헤겔의 화해는 모순과 분열이 완벽히 해소될 때만 이루어지는 화해가 아니라 모순과 분열을 더 이상 고통으로 보지 않고 비관계의 관계로서 접속을 수행하는 생성의 원동력으로 수용하는 관점의 전환 속에서 실현된다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 정신분석과 헤겔 철학의 생산적 결합을 통해 치유와 성장의 담론으로서 헤겔의 사유가 담고 있는 임상적 헤겔의 가능성을 논해 본다. 이를 위해 위니컷의 “충분히 좋은”의 정신분석적 함의를 헤겔의 변증법과 접목시킨다. 충분히 좋은 헤겔의 세계에서 헤겔의 변증법은 치유적 변증법으로 변용되고 치유적 변증법은 비온 정신분석의 진실 욕동(정서적 연결)과 상호주관성 개념을 풍요롭게 만드는 이론적 토대로 활용할 수 있다. 이렇게 임상적 헤겔의 관점에서 비온 정신분석의 핵심 축인 진실 욕동과 상호주관성 개념을 재해석하면서 이를 기반으로 진정한 자기-다움을 통해 구현되는 비온의 O-되기가 “충분히 좋은” 헤겔과 친화력이 있는 “충분히 좋은” O-되기임을 밝혀 보기로 한다.

영문 초록

Günther Dellbrügger’s Das Erkennen schlägt die Wunde und heilt sie provides a perspective on interpreting Hegel’s philosophy from the standpoint of healing under the theme of “the problem of cognition as the source of both illness and health.” Interpreting Hegel from a clinical perspective, Donald Winnicott’s concept of the “good enough mother” serves as the key idea of what may be termed the “good enough Hegel,” another name for clinical Hegel. Winnicott argues that the ‘good enough mother’ is not a perfect mother but rather an imperfect one who harbors inner conflicts, paradoxically making her a healthier and more creative mother for the child. The state of being “good enough,” freed from the obsession with perfection, paradoxically leads to a more authentic form of perfection. In the context of the “good enough” Hegel, inspired by Winnicott’s thought, the Absolute in a clinical sense does not signify the culmination of a powerful force that resolves all contradictions. Rather, it refers to love and spirituality actualized through the movement of self-emptying and the true infinite—the Absolute that includes the finite within itself and realizes itself within the entirety of the finite. Moreover, the reconciliation in the “good enough” Hegel is not a reconciliation that is achieved only when contradiction and fragmentation are completely resolved, but rather one that takes place when contradiction and fragmentation are no longer viewed as sources of suffering, but as a driving force of becoming that enacts connection as a relation of non-relation, emerging from a shift in perspective. From this perspective, this paper explores the clinical potential of Hegel’s philosophy as a discourse of therapy and growth through the productive integration of psychoanalysis and Hegelian thought. To this end, the psychoanalytic implications of Winnicott’s concept of “good enough” are integrated with Hegel’s dialectics. Within the “good enough” Hegelian world, Hegel’s dialectics is transformed into a therapeutic dialectics, which in turn serves as a theoretical foundation for enriching the Bionian psychoanalytic concepts of truth drive and intersubjectivity. By reinterpreting these central axes of Bion’s psychoanalysis—the truth drive as an emotional connection and intersubjectivity—from a clinical Hegelian perspective, this paper demonstrates that Bion’s concept of becoming-O through authentic becoming-myself resonates with the “good enough” Hegel and can be conceptualized as the “good enough” becoming-O.
