교양교육으로서 ESG 콘텐츠 구성에 관한 탐색적 연구

국문 초록

교양교육으로서 ESG는 대학생이 공동체 시민으로서 사람과 환경에 대한 참여와 공존의 삶을 위해필요한 지식과 실천의 기회를 제공해야 한다. 이를 위해 ESG가 교양교육으로서 다루어지기 위해서는ESG 콘텐츠 구성이 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 ESG 콘텐츠 구성을 위해 교양 전담교수 3의 내용타당도와 대학생 164명을 대상으로 ESG 콘텐츠 구성의 내용에 대한 주관적 적합도를 조사하여 분석하였다. 교양교육으로서 적합한 ESG 콘텐츠는 E 영역에서는 기후변화 및 탄소배출, 폐기물 관리, 에너지 효율,환경규제, 생물다양성 5개 주제와 S 영역에서는 지역사회 관계, 데이터 보호, 인권 성별 및 다양성,근로자 안전 4개 주제 및 G 영역에서는 기업윤리, 뇌물 및 반부패, 공정경쟁 3개 영역이 추출되었다. 향후 ESG 교양교육은 12개의 주제와 관련된 콘텐츠로 구성되어 접근하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 교양교육에서 ESG는 E(환경), S(사회), G(지배구조) 각각에 해당하는 교과과정보다는 세 영역을 통합하여 접근해야 할 것이며, ESG 이론과 실천 사례가 통합된 교육으로 진행되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

As a part of liberal arts education, ESG should provide college students with the knowledge and practical opportunitiesnecessary for participation and coexistence with people and as citizens of the community. However, in order for the goalsof ESG education to be realized, particularly when it comes to participation and coexistence, ESG content must be organizedfirst. In order to construct ESG content, this study analyzed the content validity of 4 liberal arts professors and the subjectivesuitability of the ESG content composition among 164 college students. Five topics were selected for their ESG contentthat is suitable for general education in the environmental field: climate change and carbon emissions, waste management,energy efficiency, environmental regulations, and biodiversity. In the social sector, four topics were selected: communityrelations, data protection, human rights·gender·diversity, and worker safety. In the governance area, three areas were extracted:corporate ethics, bribery and anti-corruption, and fair competition. In the future, ESG liberal arts education needs to be approachedwith content related to 12 topics. In addition, ESG in liberal arts education should be approached by integrating the threeareas rather than providing a curriculum for each of the E(environment), S(society), and G(governance) areas, and shouldbe conducted in such a way that it that integrates ESG theory and practice cases.
