국문 초록

본 논문은 인공지능을 주제로 하는 인문학 교양강좌의 운영사례를 분석함으로써, 교양교육으로서의 인공지능 인문학 교육이 어떠한 방식으로 이루어질 수 있는가를 탐색하는 일을 목표로 삼는다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 먼저 인공지능을 인문학의 관점에서 교육한다는 것, 즉 인공지능 인문학 교육이 무엇을 지향해야 하는가를 제언한다. 더 이상 인공지능이 인간과 유리된 도구일 수 없음을 고려하면 인공지능 인문학 교육은 교양교육의 중요한 분야로 다루어져야 할 것이다. 이러한 문제의식에서 출발하여, 본 연구는 인공지능 인문학 교육의 핵심이 인공지능에 대한 가치론적, 비판적 사유 능력을 배양하는 데 있다고 주장하고자 한다. 다음으로, 이러한 제언을 바탕으로 설계된 ‘빅데이터, 인공지능과 예술’ 강좌의 교육목표와 운영 성과를 살펴본다. 해당 강좌는 인공지능과 예술의 관계에 대한 철학적 질문들을 제시하고 학습자들이 생성형 인공지능을 활용하여 그 질문에 대한 최선의 답을 능동적으로 구성할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 해당 강좌의 사례를 비판적으로 분석함으로써 인공지능 인문학 교육의 방향성에 대한 논의의 마중물을 마련하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to explore how AI humanities education, as a component of liberal arts education, can be achieved by analyzing the operation of a humanities course on the topic of AI. To this end, this paper first proposes the goals of AI humanities education, specifically, teaching AI from a humanities perspective. Considering that AI is no longer merely a tool that serves humans, AI humanities education should be treated as an important subject within liberal arts education. This study argues that the core of AI humanities education is to cultivate the ability to critically contemplate AI. Next, this paper examines the educational goals and outcomes of a course titled ‘Big Data, AI, and Art.’ Under the banner of humanistic problem-based learning, the course was designed to pose philosophical questions about the relationship between AI and art, allowing learners to actively construct the best answers to those questions while using generative AI. By critically analyzing this course, this study aims to contribute to the discussion on the direction of AI humanities education.
