국문 초록

니체는 자신의 완숙한 사상을 담은 『차라투스트라는 이렇게 말했다』와 『선악의 저편』을 출판한 후 『비극의 탄생』, 『인간적인 너무나 인간적인』 등 이전의 저작들에 대한 새로운 서문을 작성했다. 이 서문들에서 니체는 이전 저작들의 내용뿐만 아니라 논리 전개 방식에 대해서도 신랄한 자기비판을수행했다. 니체의 예술론이 전기의 ‘예술가-형이상학’에서 후기의 ‘생리예술론’으로 변화했듯이, 그의교양교육론도 전기와 후기 사이에 차이가 존재할 개연성이 있다. 이 논문은 성숙한 니체 사상을 담고있는 『차라투스트라는 이렇게 말했다』에 나타난 교양교육론, 즉 니체의 후기 교양교육론을 탐색하기위한 것이다. 연구 결과, ‘천재의 형이상학’의 토대 위에서 소수의 엘리트에게, 고대 그리스 문화를,천재의 왕권에 대한 복종의 방식으로 가르치는 교양교육론을 주장했던 전기 니체와 달리, 후기 니체는다수의 대중에게, 자기 자신을 극복하기 위해, 각자 홀로 제 갈 길을 찾아 떠나는 방식으로 교육하는‘위버멘쉬-되기’의 교양교육론을 주장했다. 니체의 이런 후기 교양교육론은 학문형-교양교육이나 취업형-교양교육으로 점령된 오늘날의 대학교육에 빌둥형-교양교육, 관점형-교양교육, 교육형-교양교육을 시도하는 것이 필요함을 보여준다.

영문 초록

After publishing his culminating thoughts in Thus Spoke Zarathustra and Beyond Good and Evil, Nietzsche wrote newprefaces for his earlier works such as The Birth of Tragedy and Human, All Too Human. In these prefaces, Nietzsche wassharply self-critical, not only of the content of his previous works but also of their logical development. Just as Nietzsche'stheory of art shifted from the early ‘artist-metaphysics’ to the later ‘physiological aesthetics’, it is likely that between hisearly and later theories of liberal education there are both continuities and differences. This paper aims to explore Nietzsche'slater theory of liberal education as implied in Thus Spoke Zarathustra, which reflects his mature thoughts. The researchfindings indicate that, unlike the early Nietzsche, who advocated a theory of liberal education based on the ‘metaphysicsof genius’ - teaching a select elite the ancient Greek culture in a manner that enforces obedience to the sovereign authorityof genius, the later Nietzsche proposed a theory of liberal education that focuses on the becoming Übermensch. This latertheory aims to educate the masses to overcome themselves, each finding their own path in solitude. This approach by thelater Nietzsche suggests the necessity of attempting a Bildung-oriented, perspective-oriented, and education-oriented liberaleducation in today's universities, which are dominated by academic-oriented or employment-oriented liberal education.
