국문 초록

이 연구는 애니메이션을 사회적 임무와 문화적 임무를 짊어진 종합예술로 보고, 애니메이션에서의 사운드를 대사, 음악, 효과음, 침묵으로 나눈다. 침묵은 특별한 소리 형태로 감독의 의도를 담고 있으며, 애니메이션 작품에서 사상성과 견해를 전달하는 사운드 처리 방식 중 하나다. 이 연구는 일본 애니메이션 감독 미야자키 하야오 감독의 애니메이션 작품 “바람계곡의 나우시카”에서 나타난 11번의 침묵 장면을 분석하고, 침묵 부분과 다양한 영상의 조합이 만드는 지향적 활동을 분석하여 현상학 창시자 에드문트 후설의 지향성 이론을 적용하여 미야자키 하야오 감독이 침묵 장면을 통해 캐릭터의 정신 활동과 내면 감정을 표현하는 방식과 감독이 구축한 태도와 입장을 이해하는 데 도움을 준다. 이 연구는 나타난 일정한 규칙을 요약하고 정리하여 감독이 작품의 침묵 장면에서 지향적 내포를 가지고 있음을 확인하고, 이를 통해 침묵 장면이 시청각 체험 연구의 중요성을 강조한다. 이 연구는 시청각 작품에서의 사운드 처리에서 침묵을 대담하게 사용하고, 더 많은 가능성을 확장하는 데 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study sees animation as a comprehensive art carrying social and cultural tasks, and divides the sound in animation into lines, music, sound effects, and silence. Silence contains the director's intention in the form of a special sound, and is one of the sound processing methods that conveys ideology and view in animated works. The study analyzed 11 silent scenes in Japanese animation director Hayao Miyazaki's animated film “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”. By analyzing the oriented activities created by the combination of silent parts and various videos, it applies the orientation theory of the founder of phenomenology, Edmund Husserl, to help Hayao Miyazaki understand the way he expresses his character's mental activities and inner emotions through silent scenes and the attitudes and positions he has built. This study summarizes and organizes certain rules that appeared, confirming that the director has an oriented connotation in the silent scene of the work, and emphasizes the importance of researching the silent scene as an audiovisual experience. And will contribute to the bold use of silence in sound processing in audiovisual works, and to expand more possibilities.
