국문 초록

전략문화란 한 국가의 전략공동체가 갖는 태도와 신념, 반복된 경험을 통해 습득되는 습관적인 행동 패턴의 총합이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 전략문화의 관점에서 전쟁의 원인을 분석하는 것은 여타 전쟁의 원인을 분석하는 데 있어 유용한 방법이 될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 러-우전쟁을 발발한 러시아와 북한의 전략문화 형성요인을 물리적 요인, 정치·군사적 요인, 사회·문화적 요인으로 분류하였다. 이어서 전략문화 형성의 핵심요인을 중심으로 러시아의 방어적·공격적 전략문화의 변화와 특성을 이해하고 한반도에서의 전쟁발발 가능성에 대한 검토와 대비의 필요성을 제기하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 러시아는 자국의 방어를 위한 대외적인 팽창정책, 방어와 공격의 이중성, 섬멸주의를 추구하는 전략문화를 견지하고 있음을 알 수 있었고, 북한은 생존과 이익을 위해 공격적 행위를 추구하는 전략문화를 견지하고 있었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 러시아와 북한의 전략문화에 대한 연구는 러-우전쟁의 원인을 규명하고 향후 한반도에서 북한의 공격적 도발 행위를 판단하는 데 설득력을 제공하며, 이에 대한 대비가 요구되고 있다.

영문 초록

Strategic culture can be said to be the sum of the habitual behavior patterns acquired through repeated experiences, attitudes and beliefs of a country's strategic community. Therefore, analyzing the causes of war from the perspective of strategic culture will be a useful way to analyze the causes of other wars. In this study, the strategic culture formation factors of Russia and North Korea, which broke out in the Russia- Ukraine. war, were classified into physical, political·military, and social·cultural factors. Next, focusing on the key factors in the formation of a strategic culture, we tried to understand the changes and characteristics of Russia's defensive·aggressive strategic culture, and raise the need to review and prepare for the possibility of a war on the Korean Peninsula. As a result, Studies have shown that Russia maintains an external expansion policy for its defense, duality of defense and attack, and a strategic culture that pursues annihilationism, while North Korea maintains a strategic culture that pursues aggressive actions for survival and profit. Such research on the strategic culture of Russia and North Korea provides persuasive power to identify the cause of the Russia-Ukraine war and to judge North Korea's aggressive provocations on the Korean Peninsula in the future, and preparations are required.
