外宣翻译视域下中国特色词汇“动态清零”的韩译研究

국문 초록

국가 간의 교류가 갈수록 빈번하게 되는데 대외 홍보의 중요성도 나타난다. 대외 홍보를 하기 위해 무엇보다도 번역의 역할은 아주 중요하다. 번역은 대외 홍보에서 나라의 문화소프트파워를 제고하고 정확한 중국 이미지를 세우는 데 빠질 수 없는 부분이 된다. 본 연구에서는 중국에서 코로나19 방역 및 통제를 하기 위해 실시한 “动态清零”이란 정책을 연구 대상으로 삼아 중국과 한국의 시정(時政) 뉴스에서 어떻게 번역하여 보도되었는지를 조사하고 이에 따른 번역방법도 함께 고찰하였다. 동시에 한국어로 번역한 후 한국 독자들은 어떻게 이해하고 수용하는지도 함께 분석하였다. “动态清零”은 코로나 시기에 생긴 새로운 중국 특색 용어로 한국어가 대응하기 적절한 표현을 찾기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 중국이나 한국의 시정(時政) 뉴스에서는 여러 번역 양상이 나타날 수밖에 없다. 중국 시정(時政) 뉴스에서는 19개, 한국 시정 뉴스에서는 26개로 조사되었다. 그 중 어떤 것이 가장 적절한지는 뉴스 보도의 사례를 통해 상세히 분석하였다. 중한 양국은 “动态清零”에 대한 여러 번역이 나오는 것을 보면 중한 양국의 번역자들에게 번역 실천 과정에서 중국의 발전 현황, 발전 추세, 중국의 정책과 방침 등에 대해 바라보는 새로운 시각이 요구된다. 그래야 중국의 실제적인 상황을 독자들에게 전달할 수 있다. 또한 이를 연구하면서 앞으로 다른 정치적 문헌이나 대외 홍보 번역에 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다.

영문 초록

As exchanges between nations become increasingly frequent, the importance of external promotion becomes apparent. In order to conduct effective external promotion, the role of translation is crucial. Translation plays an indispensable part in enhancing a country's cultural soft power and establishing an accurate image of China in external promotion. This study focuses on the policy of “动态清零” implemented by China to combat and control COVID-19, investigating how it has been translated and reported in both Chinese and Korean current affairs news. The study also examines the corresponding translation methods and analyzes how Korean readers understand and accept the translated content. “动态清零” is a new Chinese term with distinct characteristics that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic, making it challenging to find an appropriate expression in Korean. Consequently, various translation variations are expected to appear in both Chinese and Korean current affairs news. Nineteen translations were found in Chinese current affairs news, while twenty-six translations were found in Korean current affairs news. Detailed analysis was conducted through case studies to determine the most suitable translation. Considering the multitude of translations for “动态清零” in both China and Korea, it becomes evident that translators from both countries require a new perspective in their translation practices to accurately convey China's development status, trends, policies, and strategies. Only then can the actual situation in China be effectively communicated to readers. Furthermore, it is hoped that this research will provide some assistance in future political literature or external promotional translations.
