동해안 김동언 <심청굿>의 판소리 수용과 변화 연구

국문 초록

이 논문은 <심청굿>을 대상으로 하여 굿의 연행과 전승 과정 측면에서 판소리와의 연관성을 살폈다. <심청굿>은 동해안별신굿에서 연행되는 굿거리 중의 하나이다. <심청굿>은 판소리계 소설인 <심청전>의 내용과 상당부분 유사하고, 서사 내용 전체가 거의 수용되어 있다. 필자는 판소리와 <심청굿>의 관계에 더욱 주목하고, 특히 판소리에 대한 무당의 인식과 그를 수용하는 과정에서의 변화를 살펴보고자 하였다. <심청굿> 자료는 현재 동해안별신굿 전수조교인 김동언 무녀가 연행한 것이다. 김동언은 오늘날 부산, 영덕, 울진, 강릉 등 전역에 걸쳐 동해안별신굿을 연행하는 무당 중에서도 서사무가 연행의 대표적인 인물로 주목 받고 있다. 그 결과 <심청굿>과 판소리는 상당히 많은 연관성을 지니고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 사설의 경우에는 판소리계 소설을 수용해서 발전하였고, 판소리 성음과 장단 역시 <심청굿>의 부분 부분에 활용되고 있었다. 특히나 경상도(동해안) 지역에서는 <심청굿>이 활발하게 연행되기 이전부터 판소리가 인기 있는 예술로 향유되고 있었고, <심청굿>을 본격적으로 연행하게 된 시기에는 판소리의 영향력이 상당히 미쳐지고 있었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 하지만 <심청굿>은 지역의 언어, 음악을 기반으로 하면서 판소리를 수용하고 있다는 점이 특징적이다. 물론 점차 사회가 발전하면서 판소리를 쉽게 접할 수 있게 되어 <심청가>의 음악적 특성을 더 많이 받아들이게 된 경향이 보여 지기도 하지만, 여전히 그 독창적인 부분은 인정할만하다. 동해안 무속인들의 독창성은 지역의 언어와 음악을 넘어 판소리의 변화적 수용도 가능하게 하였다. 같은 내용이라고 하더라도 장단을 변화시킨다거나, 심청 옷치레와 같은 새로운 사설에 장단을 붙이는 창작까지 하고 있다. 이는 오늘날 많은 시도가 되고 있는 창작판소리로서의 가능성까지 보여주고 있다.

영문 초록

This paper has examined the relationship between and Pansori in terms of the performance of exorcism and its transmission process by setting as the target. is one of the exorcism materials performed as ‘Donghaean-Byulsingut’. A considerable portion of is similar to the details of which is a fiction of Pansori series and most of the epic details have been accommodated. The author has focused on the relationship between Pansori and even more while especially trying to examine the awareness of Shaman toward Pansori and changes in the process of its accommodation. material is the one performed by a female Shaman named ‘Kim Dong-Eon’ who is an assistant instructor on the education to transmit Donghaean-Byulsingut. Today, ‘Kim Dong-Eon’ is getting attention as the main character of Shaman narration performance among the Shamans performing Donghaean- Byulsingut throughout all areas including Busan, Yeongdeok, Uljin and Gangneung. As a result, the fact that and Pansori have a great deal of relationship could be verified. In case of the texts, it has developed by accommodating the Pansori series fictions while Pansori vocal sound and rhythm were also being used in here and there. Especially in the East coast area of Gyeongsang-do Province, Pansori has been enjoyed as popular art from the time before was actively performed; then Pansori was getting considerably influential during the time of performing on a full scale. However, the distinctive feature of is that Pansori is accommodated based on language and music of the region. Naturally, while the tendency of getting to accept more of musical characteristics of is also shown as people can easily encounter Pansori as the society has developed gradually, its originality aspect is still worthy of recognition. The originality of east coast Shamans has even enabled the transitional accommodation of Pansori beyond language and music of the region. Even if it might be the same contents, even the creation of changing the rhythm or adding rhythm to new test such as Shim-Cheong dress up is being performed. This shows even the possibility as creative Pansori which is being attempted a lot today.
