국문 초록

본 연구는 성인 발달장애인의 스트레스가 자살 생각에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보고 그 경로에서 상담 여부가 자살 생각에 미치는 매개 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 2020년도에 한국보건사회연구원에서 실시한 제7차 장애인실태조사 데이터를 사용하여 매개회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상담 여부는 연구대상의 연령, 규칙적인 식사, 균형 잡힌 식사에서 차이가 나타났고 자살 생각은 규칙적인 식사에서만 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 반면, 스트레스는 모든 변인에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 성인 발달장애인의 스트레스가 자살생각에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 성인 발달장애인의 스트레스가 높을수록 자살에 대해 더 많이 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성인 발달장애인의 스트레스가 자살생각에 직접적인 영향을 미치고, 상담 여부가 매개 역할을 하여 자살생각을 감소시키는 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study examines the role of stress on suicide contemplation from adults with developmental disability and the mediation effect of counseling. In doing so, this paper uses mediation analysis based on the 7th Disability Survey Report conducted by Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs in 2020. The findings can be summarized as follows. First, the counseling rate depended on age, eating habits, and the level of balanced nutrient consumption. Meanwhile, suicide contemplation was only found to be different across eating habits. The level of stress did not differ across focal variables. Second, it is found that stress has a direct effect on suicide contemplation. That is, the higher level of stress was positively correlated with a higher rate of suicide contemplation. Third, stress directly affects suicide contemplation, and that counseling negatively mediates suicide contemplation.
