국문 초록

간재 이덕홍은 퇴계 이황의 제자로, 스승 및 동문들과 다양한 방법으로 교유를 맺었다. 그리고 이러한 교유는 스승인 퇴계가 세상을 떠난 이후에도 지속적으로 이루어졌는데, 이 과정에서 다수의 교유시들이 창작되었다. 이는 그가 남긴 181편의 한시 가운데 71편이 차운시라는 점을 통해 확인할 수 있겠다. 간재의 한시에 나타난 교유의 양상은 크게 세 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 우선, 강학을 통한 퇴계 학문의 계승이다. 간재는 스승인 퇴계의 시에 차운을 하면서 스승의 가르침을 충실히 따르고자 하는 인식을 드러내었고, 동문과 학문을 논하는 과정에서 스승에게 배운 내용을 전수해 주기 위해 부단히 노력하였다. 또한 주자에게서 퇴계로 이어지는 학문의 연원에 대해 자부심을 표출하기도 하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 동문들에게 면학의 뜻을 보이기도 하였다. 둘째, 선유와 유람을 통한 풍류의 발현이다. 간재는 퇴계의 문하에 들어간 이후부터 본격적인 풍류 활동을 시작하였다. 특히 스승을 모시고서 이루어진 탁영담에서의 선유는 적벽선유에 비견될 만큼 도가적인 흥취로 가득 차 있었다. 또한 동문들과 함께 청량산에 머물면서 풍류를 즐기거나, 가까운 곳으로 유람을 떠나기도 하였다. 이때 간재에게 있어 아름다운 자연경관만큼 중요했던 것은, 바로 함께 유람을 떠나는 이의 존재였다. 셋째, 증별을 통한 이별의 정한 극복이다. 간재는 이별을 앞둔 동문에게 증별시를 써 주거나, 멀리 떨어져 있는 동문에게 증시를 전해 주며 헤어짐에 대한 아쉬움을 드러내었다. 그러나 단순히 아쉬움을 토로하는 데서 그치지 않고, 임무 수행을 무사히 마치고 돌아오길 바라는 기대감을 나타내는 한편, 동문으로서의 지향점이 변치 않기를 소망하기도 하였다. 간재의 한시에 나타난 교유의 의미는 다음과 같다. 우선, 간재는 스승에 대한 존숭을 바탕으로 학파적 결집을 도모하였다. 또한 그는 주로 영남 지역을 중심으로 풍류 활동을 펼쳤으므로, 자연스럽게 영남 지역의 산수에 대한 재인식과 더불어 영남 선현들에 대해서도 주목을 하게 되었다. 이처럼 간재가 학파적･지역적 결집을 도모할 수 있었던 것은, 그의 증별시에서 나타나듯이 그가 동문에 대해 깊은 신뢰를 지니고 있었기 때문에 가능한 일이었다.

영문 초록

Lee Deok-hong was taught by Toegye Lee Hwang. And since then, he had social intercourse with his teacher and alumni in various ways. This social intercourse continued even after the death of his teacher Toegye. In the process, a number of sino-Korean poetry directly related to social intercourse were created. In fact, it is supported by the fact that 71 of the 181 sino-Korean poetry are chaun-si(次韻詩). The aspects of social intercourse that appeared in The Lee Deok-hong s sino-Korean poetry can be divided into three main types. The first is the succession of Toegye studies through lectures. Lee Deok-hong revealed his perception of following his teacher s teachings through chaun-si. And in the process of discussing studies with alumni, he worked tirelessly to pass on what he had learned from his master. In addition, he expressed his pride in the origin of the study from Chu Hsi(朱熹) to Toegye, and based on this, he showed the will of learning to his alumni. Second, it is the expression of pung-ryu(風流) through boating and travel. After being taught by Toegye, Lee Deok-hong began full-fledged pungryu activity. In particular, the boating performed at Takyeongdam(濯纓潭) with Toegye was comparable to the boating at the Jeokbyeok(赤壁). In addition, he enjoyed the pung-ryu at Cheongryangsan(淸凉山) with his alumni or went to a nearby place. At this time, what was as important to him as the beautiful natural scenery was the existence of the person traveling together. Third, it is to overcome the regret of parting by writing a sino-Korean poetry at the time of parting. Lee Deok-hong wrote a Jeung-Byeoul-Si(贈別詩) to an alumni who was about to part, or delivered a Jeung-Si(贈別詩) to an alumni who was far away, expressing regret for the breakup. However, he expressed his expectations not only to expressed his regret, but also to hoped that alumni s orientation would not change, while expressing his anticipations for returning safely from their mission. Looking at the meaning of social intercourse in Lee Deok-hong s sino-Korean poetry, it can be said that he promoted scholastic unity based on respect for his teacher. In addition, his Pungryu activities were mainly conducted in the Yeongnam(嶺南) area, so naturally, he re-aware of the Yeongnam area s landscapes and paid attention to the Yeongnam ancient sages. And as shown in Lee Deok-hong’s farewell sino-Korean poetry, it was possible that he was able to promote academic and regional unity because the deep trust in alumni.
