小訥 盧相稷의 현실 대응 양상에 대한 考察

국문 초록

小訥 盧相稷은 근대 전환기 지식인으로서 나라가 강제 병합된 1911년 伯兄 大訥 盧相益과 함께 중국으로 망명하여 우국지사들과 국권 회복의 길을 모색하였다. 이후 귀국하여 紫岩書堂을 개설하여 학문을 연구하며 후학을 양성하고, 자신의 저술뿐만 아니라 각종 교육서와 문중이나 지역 유현들의 문헌 등 각종 서적을 출간하거나 교정에 직접 참여하였다. 그리고 김해 유림 대표로 제자들 13명과 함께 파리 장서에 서명하여 김해와 밀양, 창녕 등지의 유림 규합에 주동적인 역할을 하였다. 그가 근대 전환기와 일제 강점기를 거치며 이런 행보를 보일 수 있었던 인식의 저변에는 유맥의 계승자를 自任했던 자세와 ‘敬’에 입각한 自警의 생활, 교육 구국 운동을 전개하고자 했던 一念이 있었다. 파리장서운동은 소눌의 내면적 수양과 성찰로 유학의 이상적 인간상인 聖人의 인격을 갖춘 인재를 육성하고, 그를 통한 유학의 부흥과 교육 구국 운동이 외면으로 표출된 사회적 실천이다. 소눌의 이러한 실천적 행보는 그의 학문적 연원이 근기 남인의 실학에 근저가 있는 것도 일정한 영향을 미쳤다.

영문 초록

Sonul Noh Sang-jik, an intellectual in the transitional period of modern times, fled to China with his older brother Daenul Noh Sang-ik in 1911, when the country was forcibly annexed, and sought a way to restore national sovereignty with his fellow countrymen. After returning home, he opened the Jaam Seodang, researched and nurtured younger students, and published not only his own writings, but also various educational books and literature of the clan and local scholars, or directly participated in the corrections. And as the representative of Yurim in Gimhae, he signed the Paris collection with 13 of his disciples and played a leading role in gathering Yurim in Gimhae, Miryang, and Changnyeong. There was only one thought behind the recognition that he was able to make such a move through the transition to modern times and the Japanese colonial period, which was to develop a self-vigilant life and education rescue movement based on the attitude that he was proud of as the successor of the dynasty. The Paris Collection Movement is a social practice that nurtures talented people with the personality of a saint, the ideal human image for Confucianism, through Sonul s inner cultivation and reflection, and the revival of Confucianism and the education-saving movement through him are expressed externally. Sonul s practical actions were also influenced to a certain extent by the fact that his academic origins were rooted in the Silhak of Geungi Namin.
