언론보도에 나타난 “산업재해 원인”의 의미연결망 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 44개 국내 언론사의 언론보도에 나타난 ‘산업재해 원인’ 관련 기사의 경향을 파악하기 위해 빅데이터 분석기법인 의미연결망 분석을 활용하였다. 이를 위해 2006년 1월부터 2019년 12월까지를 연구대상 기간으로 선정하여 1,976건을 대상으로 키워드 빈도분석, 워드클라우드를 통한 시각화, TF-IDF(Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) 분석, 키워드 간 관계패턴을 도출하기 위한 상관관계를 이용하는 CONCOR(CONvergence of iterated CORrelation) 분석 등을 수행하였다. 언론보도는 연간 건수가 지속적으로 증가하여 언론에서도 관심이 증가하여 이슈화되고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 언론사 별 보도건수는 한겨레, 경향신문, 머니투데이, 세계일보, 서울신문, 한국일보, 아시아경제, 매일경제, 내일신문, 헤럴드경제 등의 순서로 나타났다. 언론보도 기사에서 ‘외주화, 반도체, 화학물질, 추락, 폭발’ 등 키워드의 출현빈도가 높게 나타났으며, 사회적 이슈와 관련이 있다는 점을 시사하였다. 언론보도 기사의 시기별 4개의 그룹으로 묶였으며, 그룹 내 개체들과 연관성 있는 키워드들이 강한 연결관계를 가지고 있었다. 언론보도 기사에서 자주 언급된 산업재해 원인이 되는 키워드는 위험인식을 가지고 접근할 필요성이 있다고 할 수 있다. 산업안전보건법 전부개정에 따라 강화된 도급 시 산업재해예방 정책과 맞물려 언론보도 기사에서 나타난 최근 산업재해 원인인 ‘외주화’에 대한 집중적인 안전보건 조치의 이행이 필요할 것으로 보여진다.

영문 초록

This study utilized semantic network analysis, which is a big data analysis technique, to understand the trend of articles related to ‘causes of industrial accidents’ published in the media reports of 44 media companies in Korea. To this end, the analysis period was set from January 2006 to December 2019 to perform keyword frequency analysis, visualization through word cloud, TF-IDF(Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) analysis, the convergence of iterated correlation (CONCOR) analysis using correlation to derive the relation pattern between keywords on 1,976 cases. It was confirmed that the number of media reports continued to increase annually, signifying that the media became increasingly interested in the issue. In addition, the number of media reports per media company was in the order of the Hankyoreh, Kyunghyang Shinmun, Money Today, Segye Ilbo, Seoul Shinmun, Hankook Ilbo, Asian Economy, Maeil Economy, Naeil Newspaper, and Herald Economy. In media reports, keywords such as ‘outsourcing, semiconductors, chemicals, crashes, explosion’ appeared frequently, signifying that they were related to social issues. The media coverages were grouped into four clusters by period, and the keywords that have relevance to the entities in the clusters had a strong connection. This can be interpreted that there is a necessity to approach the keywords that are causes of industrial accidents often mentioned in media coverages with the awareness on risk. Intensive safety and health measures should be implemented in relation to ‘outsourcing’, which is the cause of recent industrial accidents, found in the media coverages in response to the policy to prevent industrial accidents in cases of subcontracting according to the entire revision of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
