국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 베트남 공예의 환경 및 특성에 관한 연구 분석을 통해 베트남에 대한 사회문화적 이해와 판단의 기반을 제공하는 것이다. 연구는 사회주의 체제로서 개혁과 개방의 성공적인 결과를 나타내고 있는 베트남 문화의 특성을 담고 있는 공예에 주목한다. 베트남만의 특별함을 담고 있는 공예의 문화적 중요성은 분명하다. 베트남 문화에 대한 흥미로운 시선에도 불구하고, 지역문화의 정체성을 내포하고 있는 공예에 관한 학문적 연구는 극히 적다. 이것이 베트남 공예에 대한 심도 있는 연구가 필요한 이유이다. 연구는 베트남 공예의 배경과 현재 특성을 탐구하는 2개장으로 분류해 자세히 다루었다. 첫째, 베트남의 자연환경과 역사·사회·문화적 환경에 대한 개괄적 분석을 통해 베트남 공예만의 독특한 특성을 창출하는 배경을 살펴보았다. 둘째로는 지역정체성이 중요시된 베트남 공예의 특징적 모습을 환경, 문화, 그리고 보전과 변화라는 방향의 모습으로 구분해 분석한다. 1) 자연환경에서 얻은 재료를 활용해 창출되고 있는 베트남 공예를 옻칠과 직물의 역사와 사례를 통해 설명한다. 2) 베트남 문화의 주축을 이루고 있는 중국문화의 영향을 도자기를 통해 살펴봄으로써 베트남 문화의 근간을 이해할 수 있는 배경을 제시한다. 3) 베트남 공예의 보호과 변화에 대한 다양한 정책 및 행사 사례를 분석하고, 공예를 통한 문화적·경제적 효과를 지역경제·관광 활성화 및 국가경쟁력 상승의 측면에서 확인한다. 4) 베트남 공예가 경제적 발전을 물론 자신들의 찬란한 전통과 문화유산으로써 다양한 창조적 발전 가능성을 공예교육의 모습으로 예측해본다. 연구는 공예를 통해 베트남 문화에 대한 심층적 이해와 중요한 판단의 배경을 제공할 수 있을 것이며, 한편 연구를 통해 우리나라와 베트남 간의 성공적인 문화교류를 기대해본다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study is to establish the fundamental understanding of Vietnam’s societal and culture through the analysis and research on its craft environment and character. The study focuses on Vietnamese craft that integrates the inherent and diverse culture of Vietnam, resulting from the success achieved through innovation and openness of its socialism system. The value of culture in craft depicting Vietnam’s inherent style is prominent. In spite of the widely dispersed interest on Vietnamese culture, academic researches on its craft is but few, although craft is the origin of its regional culture simultaneously as being its identity. Serious discourses on Vietnam’s craft is therefore desperately needed. This study focuses on the background research on Vietnam’s craft simultaneously as looking at its current tendencies while also exploring its future developments. The research is in three sections. The first, studies the natural environment together with the historical-social-cultural background. The second, examines the environment, culture, preservation and transformation based on the importance of its regional identity. 1) The application of different materials found from the natural environment is examined in particular lacquer ware and textiles. 2) The Chinese influence is observed through ceramics. 3) Analyzing policies and events as case studies in the preservation and transformation of Vietnam’s craft for activating regional economy·tourism and national competition. 4) the application of creative developmental education schemes based on Vietnam’s glorious tradition and cultural heritage evidently in developing the economy and more is examined. The study hopes to contribute to learning about Vietnam’s craft simultaneously as hoping for more reciprocal exchanges between Korea and Vietnam.
