삼경사상과 생태정의

국문 초록

본 연구는 최시형의 삼경사상과 류터의 여성생태신학을 통해서 생태정의의 문제를 다루어보고자 했다. 여전히 해결되지 않고 있는 생태계의 위기의 시대 속에서 어떠한 생명 의식, 어떠한 생태 의식을 가져야 하는가? 남성과 여성, 동양과 서양, 19세기와 20세기, 동학과 기독교, 두 사상은 서로 다른 위치와 시공간에 있지만, 세계를 바라보는 종교적 시선에서 서로 만날 수 있는 지점이 존재한다고 믿는다. 이 글의 기본 구조는 삼경사상이며, 이 글의 지향점은 생태정의이다. 기본적인 구조는 삼경사상, 즉 경천(하늘 공경), 경인(사람 공경), 경물(사물 공경)이라는 3가지 주제를 내용의 기본 틀로 삼았다. 경천 파트는 온 생명의 근원이 하늘에 있으며, 생명 존중의 당위성이 하늘에 있다는 것에 대한 것을 다룬다. 또한 류터의 땅 중심적, 지구 중심적 신학이 가부장적 하늘 중심적 사고를 비판하고 있는 점에 대해 논하는 한편, 최시형의 하늘 중심적 사고가 가부장적 하늘 중심적 사고를 넘어서 류터의 땅 중심적 사고와 통전적으로 만날 수 있음을 논한다. 경인 파트는 성의 분열, 남성 우위적 사고의 기원과 현상에 대한 류터의 진단에서 시작한다. 그리고 성의 해방 운동에 대한 여러 사례들에 대한 류터의 견해를 통하여 진정한 양성평등이 어떻게 이루어질 수 있는가를 생각해 본다. 그리고 사람이 하늘이라고 한 최시형의 하늘 사상을 통해 양성의 통전, 사람의 통전 가능성에 대해 논한다. 경물 파트는 고통받고 있는 땅과 땅 위의 모든 생명들에 대한 이야기다. 자연, 여성, 땅을 지배의 대상으로 보는 서양 문화에 대한 류터의 진단을 시작으로 최시형의 하늘 중심의 경물사상, 예를 들어 물물천 개념 등을 통해 만물의 함께 공존하며 생태정의를 이루어갈 수 있는 세상에 대해 논한다.

영문 초록

This article is intended to address the issues of ecological justice through Choi Si-hyung’s the concept “Samgyung” & Rosemary Radford Ruether’s ecofeminist theology. What sense of life, what sense of ecology should we have in an age of ecological crisis that is still unresolved? Men and women, East and West, 19th and 20th centuries. Donghak and Christianity. Although the two ideas lie in different locations and space and time, I believe that there exists a point where they can meet each other in the religious view of the world. The basic Theme and structure of this writing is the concept “Samgyung,” which is “Gyeongcheon” (敬天: Respect for the Lord of Heaven), “Gyeongin” (敬人: Respect for Human), and “Gyeongmul” (Respect for All-Things). Our examination of shows that the source of all life is in Hanul (天主: the Lord of Heaven) and that the justification of respect for life is in Hanul. It also discusses the fact that Ruether’s earth-centered theology criticizes patriarchal sky-centered thinking, while Choi Si-hyung’s Hanulcentered thinking can go beyond patriarchal sky-centered thinking and meet Ruether’s earth-centered thinking in an integral way. Our examination of begins with Ruether’s diagnosis of the origins and phenomena of gender division and male-dominant thinking. It considers how true gender equality can be achieved through Ruether’s views of the various cases in the liberation movements of sex & gender. And it discusses the possibility of gender integration and human integration through Choi Sihyung’s idea that “a person is Hanul.” Our examination of is a story about the earth and all the suffering life on it. It starts with Ruether’s diagnosis of Western culture, which sees nature, women, and earth as the object of domination. And it goes to Choi Si-hyung’s the concept “Gyeongmul” in the Hanul-centered thought. For example, it discusses a world where everything can coexist together and achieve ecological justice.
