의료기관의 특성이 재무 및 서비스 성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

[연구목적]의료기관은 안정적인 자본구조와 재무활동을 통해서 수익을 창출할 수 있으며, 이러한 수익 창출을 토대로 양질의 서비스를 제공할 수 있으므로 의료기관 자체적으로 재무구조 개선이 필요할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 의료기관의 안정적인 의료서비스 제공을 위해 재무안정성과 재무활동성이 성과에 미치는 영향을 검증함으로써 안정적이고 체계적인 의료시스템 구축을 위한 이론적 토대를 제공하고자 한다. [연구방법]본 연구는 국내종합병원들을 대상으로 2013년부터 2014년까지의 국세청에서 공시하는 재무자료를 수집하여 통계분석 패키지인 SPSS 23.0을 활용하였다. 분석방법으로는 평균차이분석, 독립성 검증, 상관분석, 선형 회귀분석 및 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 주요 변수로 재무비율과 의료기관인증제를 사용하였다. [연구결과]의료기관의 재무적 특성 중 재무활동성은 재무성과와 서비스 성과에 유의한 양(＋)의 영향을 미치고 있으며, 재무안정성의 경우 서비스성과에 유의한 양(＋)의 영향을 미치고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 예상한 것처럼 자산을 효율적으로 활용한 의료기관일수록 자기자본순이익률과 매출액순이익률이 증가하였으며, 서비스 성과의 대용치인 평가인증제 획득에 더 용이함을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편 재무안정성이 높을수록 재무성과가 좋아질 것이라는 가설은 통계적 유의성을 보이지 않아 가설이 지지되지 못하였다. 재무특성과 재무성과 간의 관계는 내생성을 통제하고 분석한 2SLS에서도 일관되게 나타나 재무활동성이 재무성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 본 연구의 가설을 강하게 지지하고 있었다. [연구의 시사점]의료계뿐만 아니라 의료기관을 이용하는 환자 및 고객들도 의료기관의 재무구조가 안정적이고 효율적이어야 양질의 의료서비스를 계속해서 제공하고 제공받을 수 있는 현실에 대해 자각할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

[Purpose]Medical Institutions will need to improve their own financial structure because they can generate profits through stable capital structure and financial activities and provide high-quality services based on revenue generation. Therefore, this study aims to provide a theoretical basis for establishing a stable and systematic medical system by verifying the effect of financial stability and activity on performance in order to provide stable medical service of Medical Institution. [Methodology]This study used SPSS 23.0 program collected financial data from the National Tax Service from 2013 to 2014 for Medical Institutions in Korea. As the analysis method, t-test about average difference, Pearson’s chi-square test, correlation analysis, linear regression analysis, and logistic regression analysis were used. And financial ratios and medical institution certification system were used as the main variables. [Finding]Financial performance of hospital has a positive effect on financial and service performance, and financial stability has a significant positive effect on service performance. Therefore, it is confirmed that the ROE and the ROS increase as the hospitals that utilize the assets efficiently, and it is easier to obtain the evaluation certification system which is a substitute for the service performance. On the other hand, the hypothesis was not supported because the higher the financial stability the better the financial performance was not statistically significant. The relationship between financial characteristics and financial performance is strongly supported by the hypothesis that financial activity affects financial performance positively as it is consistent with 2SLS that controls internal production. [Implications]Patients and customers who use medical institutions as well as medical institutions suggest that the financial structure of medical institutions should be stable and efficient so that they need to be aware of the reality that they can continue to provide and receive quality medical services.
