간호대학생의 인종별 사회적 거리감 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생의 인종별 사회적 거리감을 확인하고 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인할 목적으로 시도되었다. 자료수집은 편의 추출에 의하여 지방중소도시 일개대학의 4년제 간호학과에 재학중인 149명의 대학생으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하였다. 자료는 SPSS WIN 18.0을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, 상관관계 분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 사회적 거리감은 평균 2.64(±0.62)로 보통이하 수준을 보였으며, 동양인, 백인, 흑인, 아랍인 순으로 사회적 거리감이 커져 아랍인에 대한 사회적 거리감이 가장 높음을 확인하였다. 다문화수용성, 다문화가정 인식과 사회적 거리감은 부적 상관관계를 보여 다문화수용성이 높고 다문화가정 인식이 긍정적이면 사회적 거리감은 작게 나타났다. 인종별로 사회적 거리감의 영향요인은 동양인, 흑인, 아랍인은 다문화수용성, 다문화가정 인식, 종교유무이었고, 백인은 다문화수용성과 다문화가정인식이었다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 지구촌시대에 예비 간호인의 외국인에 대한 사회적 거리감을 감소시키기 위해서는 다문화에 대한 수용성이 증가되어 외국인에 대한 인식과 태도를 긍정적으로 개선할 필요가 있으며 이를 위한 다문화관련 교육프로그램 개발이 이루어져야 하겠다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study is designed to verify affecting variables to nursing student’ social distance toward foreigners by race. Method: The data was collected from 149 nursing students in C city of medium size and they were over 18 years of age. The data was done by structural survey through the 1:1 interview. t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression were used to analyze this data through the SPSS, WIN18.0. Results: Main results are as follows. The mean score of social distance was 2.64, asians, whites, blacks, arabs in order. the subjects felt the greatest social distance in arabs. There was a negative correlation between social distance and acceptability of multi_culture, recognition of multi_cultural families. The factors that affect to social distance from the result of multiple regression by the stepwise selection, were acceptability of multi_culture, recognition of multi_cultural family, religion. Conclusion: Based on the results, to reduce the social distance toward different races, there should be practical solutions to eliminate prejudice and to improve positive awareness about multi_culture and other races.
