일 지역 여성노인의 우울, 자아존중감 및 자아통합감간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 일 지역 여성노인의 우울, 자아존중감, 자아통합감의 정도를 파악하고 제 변수간의 상관관계를 이해하여, 향후 여성노인에게 필요한 중재개발에 활용하고자 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 제주도에 거주하는 65세 이상 여성 노인 247명으로, 자료수집은 일대일 면담을 통한 질문지법으로 시행되었다. 여성 노인의 우울수준은 득점범위 11-44점 중 평균 28.9점, 자존감은 득점범위 10-40점 중 평균 21.4점, 자아통합감은 득점범위 30-150점 중 평균 81.6점으로 나타났다. 우울은 연령과 주거형태에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 자아존중감과 자아통합감은 교육수준에 따라 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 우울과 자아존중감(r=-0.448, p<.01), 우울과 자아통합감(r=-0.465, p<.01)은 유의한 역상관관계가 나타났으며, 자아존중감과 자아통합감(r=0.570, p<.01)은 유의한 순상관관계가 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 여성노인의 우울을 낮추고 자아존중감과 자아통합감을 향상시키기 위한 적절한 프로그램의 개발과 후속연구가 시행되어 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study was performed to understand depression, self-esteem, and ego-integrity of aged women and to identify the relationship between these factors for developing intervention. The subjects were 247 aged women of convenience sampling method from an area, Korea. Data were collected through personal interviews using questionnaires. The mean score of depression was 28.9 out of 44, self-esteem was 21.4 out of 40, and ego-integrity was 81.6 out of 150. Depression had significant differences according to age and residency type and self-esteem and ego-integrity had significant differences according to education level. Also, depression had a significant negative correlation with self-esteem and egointegrity and self-esteem had a significant positive correlation with ego-integrity. Based on above results, we need further study on another sample group and development, application, and verification of health management, education, and counseling programs for the aged.
