평균반응과 분산반응을 고려하는 반응표면분석 사례연구

국문 초록

특정 식품에 대한 관능검사나 공학실험에서 최적화 조건을 탐사하는 방법론으로 반응표면분석이 널리 활용되고 있다. 그런데, 일반적인 반응표면분석은 평균반응의 탐색이 주된 목적이었으며, 분산반응에 대해서는 큰 관심을 두지 않았다고 할 수 있다. 이에 반해 Taguchi(1986)는 제어인자와 잡음인자를 활용하여, 평균반응과 분산반응을 유도하고자 하였다. 그런데, Taguchi 방법론은 제어인자들의 교호작용을 감지할 수 없으며, 어떤 인자가 평균과 분산에 영향을 미치는지 파악 할 수 없는 단점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 평균과 분산을 동시에 고려하는 Myers, Khuri and Vining(1992)의 반응표면분석법을 소개하고, 이에 대한 적절한 사례분석을 실시하여, 평균반응과 분산반응에 영향을 주는 인자를 찾고자 하였다. 이와 같은 이중적 접근방법은 Taguchi의 로버스트 파라미터 설계에 대한 하나의 대안이 될 수 있다. 주요용어 : 반응표면분석, 파라미터 설계, 평균반응, 분산반응, 최적화.

영문 초록

Response surface methodology is essentially statistical methods used by researchers to aid in the solution of certain types of problems which are to find the optimal conditions in sensory evaluation or engineering processes. But, most of response surface methodology focus only on the optimal condition of mean response. The Taguchi(1986) approach drive the mean response and variance response using the signal and noise variables. But, we would not detect what are mean affecting variables and what are variance affecting variables using Taguchi approach, and Taguchi designs don t handle interactions among signal factors. In this study, we introduce the Myers, Khuri and Vining(1992) method, and obtain response surface for both mean and variance of rice-bread data, which is dual response approach. By modeling signal and noise variables together, we can learn what factors affect mean and variances and find the optimal condition of signal variables. This method have used the response surface alternatives to the Taguchi robust parameter design approach.
