국문 초록

동일한 주제에 대하여 독립적으로 연구된 논문들이 많아짐에 따라 연구결과들을 결합하고 분석하여 합리적이고 체계적으로 통합하는 메타분석이 요구된다. 최근 메타분석을 실시한 연구들이 교육학과 의학 관련 연구에서 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 증가되는 메타분석의 이용만큼 메타분석을 위한 프로그램이 요구되어진다. 최근 소개된 MIX는 메타분석을 위한 프로그램으로 엑셀과 호환 가능한 프로그램으로 초보자들도 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 본 논문에서는 MIX을 이용한 메타분석에 대하여 살펴본다.

영문 초록

Meta-analysis is a useful tool to combine or integrate the results of independent trials on same subject. As the number of papers published on meta-analyses has increased, software package for performing analysis is required. Meta-analysis with Interactive eXplanations (MIX), which is a meta-analysis program and uses EXCEL as a calculation and programming platform, designed to use freely accessible and user-friendly even a beginner. The MIX program provides two tutors and several outputs. The program s Output Tutor and Concept Tutor are interactive dialog boxes about information of statistical concepts and tests. Five numerical outputs and eighteen graphical outputs show the association measure values from the meta-analysis, several formal tests for heterogeneity, small study effects (publication bias), and cumulative trends. The MIX program is a valid tool for meta-analysis.
