영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to analyze and examine how translator implements the discourse situation and aesthetic effects creatively so that the original literature is not damaged. To achieve this end, this paper analyzed “The Vegetarian” and “Diary of a Vagabond.” This study also researched the text around the theoretical background and presented it by classifying it as six categories. To get creative translation considering the discourse situation and the aesthetic effect, translators should have fluent language skills for both target and source languages. More importantly, translators ought to possess the ability to convey discourse situation and aesthetic effects, much more accurate understanding and critical thinking.
