국문 초록

본 연구는 신입생의 글쓰기에 대한 생각과 글쓰기 수업에 대한 요구를 파악하고자 한 것으로, 필자들은 지난 3여 년에 걸친 질적 연구와 양적 연구 방법을 통해 이를 조사, 분석했다. 조사 결과, 학습자들은 개인적인 글쓰기에는 대체로 긍정적인 정서를 지니는 데 반해 과제 수행과 같은, 평가가 작동하는 공적 글쓰기에 대해서는 부정적인 반응을 보였다. 그러나 글쓰기 교육이 반드시 필요하다는 데는 대부분이(94.3%) 동의함으로써 학습자 스스로 글쓰기의 필요성을 인식하는 모습을 보였다. 또한 학습자들의 글쓰기에 대한 생각은 필자 내적 요인보다는 외적 요인에 의해 더 큰 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 필수 교과목로서의 글쓰기가 효과적으로 교수-학습되기 위해서는 교수자, 교수 방법, 과제물, 평가 기준, 동료와의 관계와 같은 필자 외적 요인이 학습자 중심으로 개선, 변모되어야 함을 말해준다. 본 연구는 선행 연구들이 필자 내적 요인에만 국한시켜 글쓰기 교육을 연구해 온 한계를 극복하여, 필자의 내적 요인과 외적 요인의 상호작용을 규명했다. 글쓰기 교육이 학습자의 생각과 요구를 반영하는, 방향으로 변모돼야 할 필요성을 실증적으로 제시했다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This research has been investigated about learners’s responses of writing and demands of writing education for 3 years by qualitative research methods and quantitative research met An object study was freshmen in writing classes. The survey result showed that freshman had positively responded of personal writing, whereas they had negatively responded of education writing as assessment to evaluate. But about 94.3%, survey participants are aware of necessary to learn college writing education. It is also important to catch that the writer’s inner emotion is affected by writer’s external factors; teaching method, assignments, evaluation criteria, feedback method of writing, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to re-consist of writing education for achievement of learner-demands, which makes to invoke positive response of leaners who attend writing class of required subject. This research is accomplished the following achievements. The writer’s internal factors are closely associated with writer’s external factors, and then freshman’s responses are diversity. This research overcomes limits of previous researches to focuss on writer’s internal. Also, this research is raised on necessity at academic community of college writing education.
