취약성-스트레스로 인한 조현병 유발요인 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 영화 ‘샤인’을 통하여 부모의 양육방식과 환경여건이 자녀의 조현병 발생에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 주요장면에서 나타난 아버지와 아들 간 의 대화와 태도 그리고 주요 생활사건에 해당되는 텍스트를 ‘매트릭스(Matrix)’ 분석 방법으로 정리하고, 언어적, 행동적 특징을 ‘취약성-스트레스 모델’에 적용하여 유 발 요인을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 아버지(피터)의 ‘거부적-통제적’, ‘애정적-통제적’ 양육방식이 주인공(데이빗)의 정서적인 취약성에 영향을 미치고, 결정적 생활사건 인 ‘미국유학의 좌절’, ‘왕실학교 입학반대’, ‘졸업연주’, ‘케더린의 죽음’, ‘아버지와의 단절’ 등의 환경 스트레스가 상호작용하여 조현병 유발에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 양육자의 “애정적-자율적” 양육 태도의 습득을 위한 부모교육 프로그램과 조현병의 취약성에 노출된 자녀의 스트레스 대처능력 향상을 위한 프로 그램 개발 및 상담의 필요성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parenting style and environmental conditions on children’s schizophrenia through analyzing the movie ‘Shine’. The dialogues and attitudes displayed between the father and son in major scenes along with texts of main life events were summarized using the ‘Matrix’ analysis method. Linguistic as well as behavioral characteristics were explored using the ‘vulnerability-stress model’ to analyze causal factors. Results showed that the father’s ‘rejective-control’ and ‘affective-control’ parenting styles affected the emotional vulnerability of the protagonist (David), which interacted with decisive life events such as ‘failing to study abroad in United States’, ‘opposition to Royal Academy admission’, ‘graduation performance’, ‘death of Katherine’, ‘severance from his father’ as well as environmental stress, inducing schizophrenia. Therefore, parental education programs need to implement “affective-autonomous” parenting methods and develop counseling program to improve the stress coping ability of children vulnerable to schizophrenia.
