초등 과학영재학생과 일반학생의 공감능력과 리더십이 학교적응에 미치는 영향 : 자기효능감을 매개로 하여

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등 과학영재학생과 일반학생의 정의적･사회적 특성인 공감능력, 리더십, 자기효능감의 하위 변인 중 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 변인을 탐색하고, 그들의 공감능력, 리더십, 학교적응과의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 확인하는데 있다. 이를 위해 S시, J도, G도 지역의 영재교육원 학생 127명, 일반학생 155명, 총 282명의 5, 6학년 초등학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, SPSS/WIN 23.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 데이터를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 과학영재학생이 일반학생보다 공감능력, 리더십, 자기효능감, 학교적응 및 각 변인의 전체 및 하위요인 모두에서 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타난다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석 결과, 학교적응에 영향력이 있는 변인은 과학영재학생에게는 리더십의 하위변인인 조직관리능력만이 영향을 주는 것으로 나타나고, 일반학생에게는 리더십의 조직관리능력과 도덕성, 자기효능감의 과제난이도선호, 리더십의 자기관리능력 순으로 영향을 주는 것으로 나타난다. 이 중 과제난이도선호는 일반학생이 학교적응을 하는 데 부적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타난다. 셋째, 과학영재학생과 일반학생의 공감능력과 학교적응 간의 관계에서 자기효능감이 부분매개(partial mediation)하는 것으로 나타난다. 반면에, 리더십과 학교적응 간의 관계에서는 과학영재학생만 자기효능감이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타난다. 이러한 연구 결과로 과학영재학생의 공감능력, 리더십, 자기효능감이 직･간접적으로 학교적응에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 그리고 이 연구의 결과는 과학영재학생과 일반학생이 동일 공동체, 동일 교육과정 속에서 지도받으면서 개별 집단의 특성이 고려되어 지도될 수 있도록 과학영재학생과 일반학생의 학교 적응과 관련된 특성을 비교한 자료로 제공될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the sub-variables affecting school adjustment among the sub variables of empathy, leadership, and self-efficacy which are the affective and social characteristics of the elementary school scientifically gifted students and general students, and to identify the mediating effects of self-efficacy in their relationships with empathy, leadership, and school adjustment. The survey of this study was conducted with 127 scientifically gifted students and 155 general students, total 5th and 6th grade 282 elementary school students in S city, G and J provinces. The data was analyzed by SPSS/WIN 23.0. The results were as follows. First, the values of the overall and all sub-variables of empathy ability, leadership, self efficacy, and school adjustment of the scientifically gifted students were significantly higher than those of the general students. Second, only the organization management ability of the scientifically gifted students affected their school adjustment positively, while the organization management ability, morality, self-regulation ability of the general students affected their school adjustment significantly positively and their task difficulty preference affected school adjustment significantly negatively by multiple regression analysis. Third, self efficacy in the relationship between empathy ability and school adjustment was found to be a partial mediator in both scientifically gifted students and general students. But self efficacy in the relationship between leadership and school adjustment was found to be a partial mediator only in the scientifically gifted students. Based on the results of this study, empathy ability, leadership, self efficacy of scientifically gifted students and general students affect their school adjustment both directly and indirectly. And they can be provided as a comparison of characteristics related to school adjustment of scientifically gifted students and general students, who share the same community and curriculum for counsel and program.
