한·중 양분적 맞섬말의 다의 구조 대조 연구

국문 초록

본 논문은 김영선(1995)의 맞섬말 유형 분류에 따라, 한·중 양국어의 양분적 맞섬말의 의미 특성에 대해 연구한 것이다. 본 논문에서는 우선 양분적 맞섬말 중 암수 관계에 해당되는 한국어 ‘사내’/‘계집’과 중국어 ‘男子漢’/‘丫頭’를 선정하고, 크게 두 가지 작업을 진행하였다. 첫째, 각 언어별로 해당 낱말의 기본의미와 전이의미를 사전을 통해 확인하고, 연상적 의미는 일상생활에서 자주 나타나는 용례에서의 쓰임이라고 생각되는 의미를 확인하여 정리하였다. 또한 이들 기본의미와 전이의미, 연상의미를 포괄적으로 조감하여 이들 낱말의 의미 확대 양상을 밝힌 다음, 이들 낱말에 한정된 두 언어의 다의 구조적 특성을 대조적으로 고찰하였다. 둘째, 각 언어별로 맞섬말쌍의 기본의미와 전이의미, 연상적 의미를 비교하여 그 공통점과 차이점을 확인하고자 하였는데, 해당 낱말들의 의미를 구체적으로 정리하고 두 언어의 특성을 대조적으로 고찰하였다. 아울러 통시적 관점에서의 의미 기술도 부분적으로 고려하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine and identify semantic characteristics of Korean and Chinese contrastive words based on type classification of Kim Young-seon(1995) s contrastive words. In the paper, male and female related Korean ‘사내/계집’ and Chinese ‘男子漢’/‘丫頭’ words among dividing contrastive words are chosen first and then two main researches are done. Firstly, the paper identifies in the dictionary basic and transferred meanings of the words concerned in each language and in terms of associative meanings, it identifies and organizes frequent examples of them in daily life. After it has a comprehensive view and approach to basic, transferred and associative meanings of the words and clarifies aspects of the meaning extension of them, the paper contrastingly contemplates structural properties of diverse meanings of two languages which are limited on these words. Secondly, by each language, this study compares basic, transferred and associative meanings of pairs of contrastive words and identifies similarities and differences of them. After it organizes in detail meanings of the words concerned, the paper considers in contrast the characteristics of two languages which are restricted to such content. In addition, semantic description with diachronic perspective is partially considered.
