여성의 주관적 성범죄 피해경험 연구

국문 초록

여성의 성범죄 피해에 대해 다양한 사회적 논의가 진행되고 있지만 이를 뒷받침할 연구성과는 기존의 제도적 관점에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 엄격한 법적 관점에서 벗어나 여성의 성범죄 피해경험을 심리학적으로 살펴보기 위해서 확장된 범위의 성범죄 유형별 피해실태 확인, 발생형태 기준 유형 분류, 심리적 피해경험 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 온라인 설문조사를 통해 확보된 전국의 10-40대 여성의 비면식 관계에서의 성범죄 피해경험을 분석하였다. 분석결과 강간, 강제추행, 성희롱 등 다양한 형태의 성범죄에 대한 여성의 경험비율은 일반적인 공식통계에 비해 상당히 높은 것으로 나타났고, 발생 형태를 기준으로 성희롱형, 강력범죄형, 성추행형, 스토킹형으로 분류되었다. 피해경험을 심층분석한 결과 강력범죄형뿐만 아니라 성희롱형 성범죄 피해도 심리적 불안을 가중시키고 있었다. 또한 강제추행, 성희롱 등은 인적이 드문 장소뿐만 아니라 공공밀집지역과 노상에서도 빈번하게 발생하고 있었다. 가장 두려운 성범죄 조사에서 강력범죄형 성범죄에 대한 두려움이 압도적으로 큰 것으로 나타났지만 성희롱형, 성추행형 등 상대적으로 심각성이 낮은 성범죄유형들 역시 큰 두려움을 야기하고 있었다. 이러한 유형의 성범죄는 우리 주변에서 발생빈도가 높은 만큼 성범죄에 대한 유형별 대응전략이 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

There are various social discussions about the sexual crime victims of women, but the research results to support them are not much different from the existing institutional viewpoint. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent of sexual crime, the classification of occurrence type, and the psychological damage experience in order to examine the experience of sexual crime victimization from the strict legal point of view. To do this, we analyzed the responses through an online survey from teens to 40s who were victimized by stranger. It turned out the experience of damage was quite high compared to official statistics. Women were classified as sexual harassment, violent crime, sexual molestation, and stalking based on the type of occurrence, as compared to official statistics. As a result of the in-depth analysis of the victimization experience, not only the violent crime but also the sexual harassment suffered the psychological anxiety. In addition, it occurred congested area and street as well as deserted place. Although investigation of the most fearful sex crime showed that the fear of violent crime was overwhelmingly large, and relatively low seriousness of sex crime brought about fear for women as well. Sex crimes such as harassment and sexual molestation often occur around us. Therefore, we suggested that a strategy for responding to sex crime is needed.
