단군신화에 관한 문학적 연구 현황과 전망

국문 초록

본 연구는 역사적, 철학적, 이념적인 연구와 같은 여타의 연구와 구별되는 단군신화에 대한 문학적 연구들의 현황과 전망을 연구한 것이다. 본 연구는 지금까지 발표 된 약 60여 편의 순전한 문학적 연구들을 대상으로 삼아 관점별, 연도별 현황을 탐구한 것이다. 선행 연구들은 10여 개의 관점으로 카테고리화가 되고 또한 90년대 이래로 본격적인 연구들이 수행되어 왔음이 드러났다. 10여 가지로 유형화된 관점으로 ① 문학사의 관점, ② 문학교육의 관점, ③ 발생학적 관점, ④ 수용의 관점, ⑤ 콘텐츠의 관점, ⑥ 다문화의 관점, ⑦ 텍스트구조의 관점, ⑧ 비교신화의 관점, ⑨ 문학치료의 관점, ⑩ 번역의 관점 등이 여기에 해당한다. 이들 10가지 관점 중 ① ③ ⑦은 연구자가 단군신화 텍스트의 문학적 본질을 밝히고자 하는 의도를 보인 연구들이다. 이들을 <본질형>이라 명명하였다. ④는 단군신화의 텍스트가 후대 전승 혹은 기록 문학에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 혹은 수용되었는지를 연구하고자 하는 의도가 보이는 연구들이다. 이들을 <전승형>이라 명명하였다. ② ⑤ ⑥ ⑧ ⑨ ⑩은 단군신화의 현재적 활용을 연구하고자 하는 의도가 보이는 연구들이다. 이들을 <활용형>이라 명명하였다. 그런데 이들 세 유형들은 쟁점별 문제 해결의 노력이 뚜렷하지 않을 뿐만 아니라, 무엇보다 <본질형>보다 <전승형>과 <활용형>에 속하는 연구들이 양적으로 더 많은 수를 보였다. <전승형>과 <활용형>에 속하는 연구들이 <본질형>의 연구 성과를 기반으로 이루어진다는 점에서 연구순서로 보아 이를 전도된 현상이라 진단하였다. 이러한 문제들이 극복되기 위해서 먼저 <본질형>에서는 단군신화의 문학적 본질이 무엇이냐에 대한 연구가 심층적으로 그리고 다각도로 이루어져야 한다고 보았다. 아울러 이러한 문학 본질에 대한 연구 결과들이 궁극적으로 통합된 문학사로 수렴되어야 한다고 제안하였다. <전승형>에서는 단군신화의 영향 혹은 수용을 밝히기 위한 방법에 관한 연구가 중요하다고 보았다. 이를 위한 한 예로 구조주의 방법을 제안하였다. 한편 단군신화가 기록된 것이기는 하나 원래는 구술상관물로서 구비전승문학이기 때문에 단군신화에 대한 현장 조사가 필요하다는 제안을 하였다. 마지막으로 교육분야와 콘텐츠로서의 활용성을 극대화하기 위해서는 <전승형>과 <본질형>의 연구 성과들을 적극적으로 수용하면서 동시에 다양한 매체를 통한 콘텐츠화에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다고 보았다.

영문 초록

This study is to inquire into the current status and the prospect of the literary studies on Dangun Myth, which are differentiated from other studies such as historical, philosophical, and ideological studies. By making about the genuine 60 literary studies as an object of study which have been issued until now, this study investigates the current status by years and by subjects. It is shown that the precedent studies are categorized into 100 subjects, and that full-fledged studies have been carried out since 1990s. The 10 categorized subjects are ① perspective of literary history, ② perspective of literary education, ③ embryological perspective, ④ perspective of acceptance, ⑤ perspective of contents, ⑥ perspective of multiculture, ⑦ perspective of textual structure, ⑧ perspective of comparative myth, ⑨ perspective of bibilotherapy, ⑩ perspective of translation. The studies of ①, ③, ⑦ intend to find out the literary essentials of the text of Dangun myth, which are named in this study. The studies of ④ intend to investigate what influences the text of Dangun myth have on documentary literature or further transmission, and how the text was accepted, which are named . The studies of ②, ⑤, ⑥, ⑧, ⑨ , ⑩ intend to inquire into the present use of Dangun myth, which are named . It is found out that the numbers of studies included to and are more than those of studies of . The difference in number is diagnosed as an inverted phenomenon, in that the studies of and are carried out under the basis of achievements of . In order to overcome the inverted phenomenon, it is necessary to carry out studies on what the literary essentials of Dangun myth are in the studio of more deeply. And also, it is proposed that the results and achievements of the studies on the literary essentials should be ultimately converged into a unified literary history. In case of , it is necessary to carry out the studies on the methods or research tools to examine out the influence or acceptance of Dangun myth. The structuralistic method is proposed as an example. On the other hand, it is proposed that field research should be made out because Dangun myth is a recorded document but originally orally-transmisoned literature as the spoken correlative. Lastly, in case of , it is necessary to maximize the effective utilization of Dangun myth by way of active absorption of the achievements of , and also continual studies to make the achievements into a content through various media.
