루터의 개혁 설교에 관한 연구

국문 초록

금년 2018년 종교개혁 500주년 행사를 치른 한국 개신교회는 ‘개혁교회는 항상 개혁되어야 한다.’는 개혁교회의 원리를 마음 깊숙이 새겨야할 것이다. 왜냐하면 종교 개혁자들, 특히 제1세대 종교개혁자인 루터는 개혁적인 설교자로서 중세 교회에서 평가절하 된 설교를 초대교회 예배전통에 따른 설교의 위치로 되돌려놓았고 한 걸음 더 나아가서, 설교의 위치를 격상시켰기 때문이다. 루터가 어떻게 그렇게 할 수 있었을까? 필자는 이 물음에 루터의 개혁적인 설교와 그의 ‘탁상담화’에 나타난 ‘설교방법론’을 설교학의 3대 요소인 설교자의 인격, 성서 해석 그리고 커뮤니케이션과 연관해서 제시했다. 이와 같은 루터의 개혁적인 설교와 방법론은 시간적인 차이에도 불구하고 한국 개신교회의 설교자에게 매우 유익한 길잡이의 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 필자는 한국 개신교회의 ‘설교 갱신’을 위해 설교자들에게 다음과 같은 두 가지의 ‘설교 방향’을 추구할 것을 제안한다: 첫째, ‘소명과 사명’에 투철한 설교자로서 생생한 복음(viva vox evangelii)을 전하라! 둘째, ‘그리스도 중심적-복음적인 말씀’을 ‘효과적인 커뮤니케이션’을 통해 ‘영감’이 넘치도록 선포하라!

영문 초록

Korean protestant churches celebrated the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017. However, they must remember one of the most significant principles of the Reformation, ‘ecclesia reformata semper reformanda.’ It is because Martin Luther as the first reformer was a reformational preacher and attempted to restore the preaching devaluated by the Medieval Church to the original status of preaching, which the liturgical traditions of the Early Christianity sought. He sought to have it’s status elevated. How did Luther do this? In order to answer this important question, I attempted to show Luther’s reformational preaching and the method of preaching reflected in his Table Talk (Tischreden) in light of the three key elements of homiletics, that is, the personality of the preacher, biblical exegesis(interpretation), and communication. In spite of the difference between the churches during the Reformation and the present Korean church, I firmly believe that the reformational preaching and methods of Luther can play an important role for Korean preachers. Therefore, my study suggests two directions to preachers: first, be fully commitment to the mission and preach ‘viva vox evangelii.’ Second, proclaim the Christ-centered gospel through effective communication with deep inspiration.
