세월호 주체의 환상과 전이에 대한 연구

국문 초록

세월호를 통과한 주체는 부재하는 하나님을 경험하였다. 그들이 세월호에서 만난 하나님은 전능하고 절대적 진리의 하나님이 아니라, 아무것도 해결해주지 못하는 소외와 분열의 하나님이었다. 기표의 그물망에 의지하여 자신을 표상할 수밖에 없는 세월호의 주체는 소외되고 분열된 신과 새로운 관계를 형성하고자 욕망하는 이 시대의 주체들이다. 그들은 그들을 둘러싼 지배 담론의 기표의 그물망에 포섭되지 않기 위해 치열한 담론투쟁을 벌임으로써 지배 담론이었던 안전, 죽음 담론을 저항 담론으로 변형, 재생산한다. 그 과정에서 세월호 유가족은 자신이 만난 대상 a로서의 신에 대한 환상을 깨뜨리고 새롭게 환상을 만들어가며 기나긴 투쟁의 삶을 지탱하고자 한다. 환상은 주체가 현실을 변형시켜 자신의 삶을 유지하고자 하는 수단이다. 하지만 그들은 이러한 환상조차 철저히 깨어짐을 경험하면서 아들을 잃은 하나님의 환원할 수 없는 고통에 접근한다. 하나님의 고통과 철저히 버려짐의 고통 속의 예수, 자기 비움의 예수에 대한 동일시를 경험한다. 그리고 이들은 고통 속에서 위안을 만나며 신 자체이기도 한 사랑의 동질성으로서의 접점을 찾는다. 이 사랑의 접점은 자식을 잃은 부모의 환원할 수 없는 고통을 통해 끊임없는 질문과 절규 속에서 자신의 욕망을 흔들리지 않게 버텨내는 향유의 길을 가게 만들었다. 이로써 주체와 신은 자기 비움의 공간을 채우고 또 비우는 연속선 위에서 끊임없이 변화되는 관계를 모색하게 된다.

영문 초록

Subjects who went through the Sewol-ho incident experienced the absence of God. The God that they met at Sewol-ho was not the Almighty God of absolute truth but the God of alienation and splitting that could solve nothing. The Sewol -ho subject could do nothing but express themselves by relying on a net of signifiers. They represent people of the times who desire to form a new relationship with the God of alienation and division. They transform and reproduce the dominant discourse of safety and death into the discourse of resistance through fierce struggle, resisting the net of signifiers that represent the dominant discourse surrounding themselves. In that process, the bereaved families of Sewol -ho victims continue their lives of lasting struggle, breaking their previous fantasy of God whom they had met as they now make a new one. A fantasy is a means for subjects to transform reality and maintain their lives. However, they saw even this fantasy broken apart completely. They approach God’s irreversible pain of losing His son. They experienced the pain of God, the pain of being abandoned completely and self-Emptying of Jesus through identification. Comforted in the middle of pain, they find the point of contact where they meet God, the very representation of love. This point of contact with love forces them to pass the road of jouissance on which parents’ irreversible pain of losing a child produces endless questions and screams with desires suppressed. As such, the subjects seek an ever-changing relationship for which they have to fill an empty space as they self-Empty again and again.
