근세 초기 명소기(名所記)의 지식 구현과 전달의 방법에 관한 고찰* - 문학적 특성을 중심으로

국문 초록

名所記とは小説的構成を備えて名所旧跡を紹介する案内記であり、近世 初期の仮名草子類に含まれる。先行研究を考察すると、名所記は当時の時 代像を把握する史料的手段として愛用されてきた。が、本稿では、史料的 手段としての名所記ではなく、文学的要素の持つ実用的な手段としての名 所記に焦点を合わせて、作品の特徴について考察した。その結果、第一 に、登場人物や旅行に出かける状況を設定するにあたり、現実感のある状 況を設定している。単に名所を羅列して説明する方法ではなく、登場人物 と状況の設定を通じて作品が構成されている。第二に、集団に内面化され た名所に関する記憶は近世に入っても古典を踏襲することにより生き生き と再現されている。人々の意識のなかに潜在的に同じ価値、態度、意味と して内面化されている 空間メタファーは、認識のなかに存在する空間で あり、実際、目の前に広がる空間とは無縁に存在している。近世初期に流 行していた名所記類は名所を紹介する地誌としての実用性を土台にはして いるが、地理的な知識を効果的に伝達する手段として文学的装置を活用し ていることが確認できた。

영문 초록

‘Meishoki(名所記)’ is an illustrated guide to notable places with a novelistic organization and is included in ‘Kana-zoshi(仮名草子)’ of the early Edo period. Considering previous studies, ‘Meishoki’ has been used as a historical means to grasp the statue of the era. The purpose of this paper is to examine ‘Meishoki’ as a practical means of literary elements, not ‘Meishoki’ as a historical means. As a result of the analysis, first, it establishes the situation that is likely to be in setting the status of the character or the traveling situation. Through the setting of the character and the situation setting, it is possible to construct a work that deviates from the method of simply describing ‘Meisho(名所)’. Second, the memories of ‘Meisho’, which is collectively internalized, have been vividly reproduced by the following classical literature in Edo period. The ‘metaphor of space’ which is internalized by the same values, attitudes, and meanings that are latent in people’s consciousness exists as a space of recognition, regardless of the space actually stretched out in front of us. As mentioned above, although ‘Meishoki’ is based on practicality as a ‘Chishi(地誌)’ for introducing ‘Meisho’, it confirmed that literary devices are used as a means of effectively transmitting geographical knowledge.
