『승정원일기』 병자호란 기사의 정본화 연구

국문 초록

영조 20년(1744) 불에 타다 남은 자료 즉 ‘燼餘’를 토대로 복원된 병자호란 시기 『개수일기』의 실상을 현전 『남한일기』와 비교하여 보았다. 이 『남한일기』는 승정원에서 작성하였던 주서일기로 아직까지 정본화 과정을 거치지 않았기 때문에 그 이용에 어려움이 있다. 정본화를 위해 현재 전하는 주서일기 『남한일기』 여러 판본을 비교하여 그 특징을 살펴보았는데 이를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 4책본의 『남한일기』는 같은 계열의 책으로 규장각에 소장된 두 판본은 몇 가지 사례를 제외하고는 거의 같은 내용이다. 베끼는 과정에서 나올 수 있는 누락이나 오탈자 정도의 차이만 있는 판본으로 보아 무방하다. 3책본의 국립중앙도서관본과 규장각본을 비교하면 여러 곳에서 차이가 있어 면밀한 검토가 필요하다. 그렇지만 규장각본과 국립중앙도서관본은 날짜의 착간, 배열 순서가 다른 기사, 약간의 누락 그리고 오탈자 등을 제외하면 거의 같은 내용이라 보면 된다. 국립 중앙 도서관본에 결락(缺자 처리)된 부분이 규장각본에는 추가 글자가 없이 기록되어 있는 기사가 많은 점이 눈에 띄는 차이점이다. 상번 주서였던 이도장의 주서일기는 『개수일기』에 거의 반영되지 않았다는 사실은 의외다. 이는 현전 이도장 일기의 문체 즉 어투는 『개수일기』(『남한일기』)의 글과 매우 미묘한 차이점이 있는 점에서 알 수 있다 영조・정조 이후 『일성록』의 등장으로 『승정원일기』는 체계적이며 통일된 기록관리 체계로 옮겨가면서, 기록의 정형화와 더불어 용어의 통일을 모색하였다. 그렇지만 병자호란 시기 기록은 용어의 체계적인 정리가 이루어지지 않았다. 판본 비교를 통하여 알 수 있는 사실은 『개수일기』, 중앙도본, 규장각본, 이도장본 4계열의 판본은 같은 내용의 글들이 대부분이지만 각기 고유한 내용만 있는 자료도 있다. 이들을 종합하여 정본화한다면 병자호란기의 역사적 실상을 파악하는데 도움이 됨은 두말할 나위가 없을 것이다. 12월 16일에서 19일까지 네 종류의 자료에서 날짜가 다른 부분은 좀 더 많은 자료와 상호비교 및 진행 상황의 시간적 흐름을 종합적으로 검토해야만 합리적인 날짜와 기사가 도출될 것이다.

영문 초록

This thesis compared the actual situation in Sin Yeo(燼餘){the reserved records of the fire-damaged Seungjeongwon Ilgi} of the revised Seungjeongwon Ilgi written in the year of King Youngjo) and the Namhan Ilgi written by Seungjeongwon Juseo(注書) in Byeongjahoran era. The Namhan Ilgi is difficult to use because it has not undergone the textualization process for Original copy of Seungjeong-won Ilgi. I have compared the Namhan Ilgi to the revised Seungjeongwon Ilgi, and the Lee Dojang’s Seungjeongwon Ilgi, The main points in this comparison are as follows. First, The four volume books in the Namhan Ilgi are the same series of books, and the two editions in the Kyujanggak are almost the same except for a few cases. It can be regarded as a version with only differences in omission or omission which can come out in copying process. Second, comparing the three volume books of the National Library of Korea and the Kyujanggak version, there are differences in several places that require close scrutiny. However, the Kyujanggak version and the National Library version are almost identical except for the date, the sequence of the articles, some omissions, and the punctuation. There is a noticeable difference in a number of articles in the National Library of Korea that have been missing (disappeared 缺) in the Kyujanggak edition without additional letters. Third, It is surprising to note that the Lee Dojang’s the diary(Seungjeongwon Ilgi) was rarely reflected in the revised Seungjeongwon Ilgi. This can be seen from the fact that there is a very subtle difference from the writing of the Namhan Ilgi. Forth, as a result of the emergence of the Ilseongrok after the Youngjo and Jeongjo, Seungjeongwon Ilgi moved to a systematic and unified record management system and sought the unification of the terms along with the formalization of records. However, in Byeongjahoran era, the systematic terminology has not been made. Fifth, The fact that we can see through the comparison of the manuscripts is that the the revised Seungjeongwon Ilgi, the National Library of Korea edition, the Kyujanggak edition and the Lee Dojang’s Seungjeongwon Ilgi have the same contents, but some of them have unique contents. If we synthesize them together, it will be helpful to understand the historical reality of the Byeongjahoran era. Sixth, differences in dates from the 16th to the 19th of December will require a more comprehensive review of the data, the intercomparison and the temporal flow of the progress, for reasonable dates and articles.
