국문 초록

학교 밖 청소년에 대한 관심은 최근 지속적으로 이어져 오고 있다. 하지만, 그 원인에 대한 연구결과는 학문분야에 따라 다르게 제시되고 있다. 청소년이 무슨 이유에서 학교를 떠나고 비행행동의 피해자나 가해자가 되는 원인을 확인하는 것은 매우 필요한 연구과제이다. 이 연구에서는 학교를 그만두는 원인으로 지목된 요인들이 연령-등급이론에서 제안하고 있는 요인과 매우 유사함을 확인 했다. 따라서 청소년 비행의 발달원인으로 제기된 음주 및 흡연과 부모의 방임의 관계를 사회적 자본의 개념으로 소개했던 Sampson과 Laub(1993)의 논문을 토대로 결국 비행행동의 가해경험이 학교를 그만두는데 결정적인 원인이 될 것이라고 가정했다. 음주, 흡연, 부모의 방임과 같은 사회적 자본의 손실 및 비행 등이 학교를 그만두는 원인으로 지목되고 있지만 그경로를 설명하는 통합모델은 아직 존재하지 않는다. 이 연구는 많은 연구에서 학교 밖 청소년이 되는 원인으로 지목된 요인 중연령-등급이론과 관련 Sampson과 Laub의 논문에서 제안되고 있는 경로 분석을 탐색했다. 분석결과 청소년기 가장 중요한 사회적 자본으로 설명되는 부모의 방임에 음주 및 흡연경험이 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 또한 음주 및 흠연경험은 비행행동 가해 경험을 증가시키며, 비행행동 가해 경험의 증가가 학교를 그만두게 되는 비율을 증가시켰다. 이러한 분석은 통계적으로 유의미하 였음을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 학교 밖 청소년의 지원과 학교의 역할을 강조하고 있는 시점에서 연구결과로부터 비행과 연결되는 요인을 비교적 초기에 효과적으로 해소시킬 수 있는 정책적 제언을 시도하고자 했다.

영문 초록

Recently, interest in Youth s Drop-out of School is continuing. The cause of drop-out has been suggested differently depending on the academic field. Therefore, it is a very necessary study to identify the reasons why adolescents leave school from various perspectives. In this study, we confirmed that the factors proposed in the age - grade theory are in agreement with the factors suggested by sociology, psychology, and pedagogy. Thus, based on the paper by Sampson and Laub, it was assumed that Delinquent by substance use and parental neglect would be the decisive cause for quitting school. Social capital such as drinking, smoking, parental neglect, and Delinquent, all of which are mentioned in various disciplines, are all attributed to drop-out of school. However, it does not explain the path through an integrated model. In conclusion, we analyzed whether delinquent changes caused by substance use and parental neglect cause youth s drop-out of school. The results showed that drinking and smoking experience had a significant effect on parental neglect. We also found that parental neglect increases delinquent and explains statistically significant increases in the proportion of drop-out of schools. Many of another research suggests that the drop-out of school youth should be supported. But, more important issue is that policy recommendations should be made to effectively address the factors associated with the delinquency earlier in the school s role.
