중세국어강독 교재 구성에 대한 일 제언

국문 초록

본고는 중세국어 교육의 활성화 방안을 위한 일환으로서 강독의 교재 구성에 대 해 논의하였다. 이는 중세국어 문법과 강독을 통합 운영하는 대학들의 현재 동향을 반영하려는 취지에서 마련된 것이다. 먼저 기존 교재를 검토한바, 그들은 일정한 기준이나 목적 없이 중세국어 문헌들 을 가능한 다양하게 소개하는 차원에서 자료들을 선정하였다는 자성적인 반성을 하 기에 이르렀다. 이러한 반성을 토대로 하여, 본고에서는 중세국어강독의 선정 기준 을 크게 학생들이 중세국어강독이라는 과목에 기대하는 바와 교수가 강의에서 달성 하고자 하는 목적을 동시에 충족시키는 관점에서 정하였다. 그리하여 재미있는 옛날 이야기를 통해서 당시의 문법 현상들을 이해하는 방향으로 접근할 수 있도록 교재를 구성하자는 생각에 도달하여 여기에 합당한 문헌을 먼저 정한 후에 그 문헌 가운데 에서 강의자가 목표하는 문법을 설명하기에 가장 적당한 장면을 선정하기로 하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the structure of Reading textbook as one of the methods to enhance middle Korean education, based on the purpose to reflect the current colleges’ method of combining grammar with reading. After examined the existing textbooks, I found out that they contain various materials as many as possible merely to introduce to students. For the necessity of reconsidering them, the new criteria which this study suggests are set by not only students’ anticipation for the course of Middle Korean Reading but also teachers’ desired aims. As reaching the consensus of making students understand grammatical conditions through interesting old stories, I have selected proper literature first and then chose appropriate scenes to have teachers explain with their aims. As a result, the textbook consists of six literature, including grammatical chapters and their detailed scenes: the letters and spelling, the system of pronoun, the aspect of interrogative ‘hara’ form, the honorific manner of hearer and subject/object and so on. Moreover, the text do not suggest the explanation for ‘phonological phenomena’ or ‘causative/passive’ since the existing materials can present lessons for them.
