국문 초록

본 연구는 자기평가 활동에 대한 대학생들의 인식을 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위 하여 203명의 대학생들이 자기평가지를 활용하여 자신을 평가하고 설문에 응답하였 으며, 설문결과는 기술통계와 추론통계를 사용하여 분석되었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 자기평가와 교수평가의 비교에서 41.9%의 학생들이 교 수평가와 동일하게 자신을 평가를 하였으며, 26.1%의 학생들은 교수평가보다 낮게, 32%의 학생들이 교수평가보다 높게 자신을 평가하였다. 또한 설문에 응답한 68%의 학생들은 자기평가 시 솔직하고 진실한 자세로 평가에 임하였다고 응답하였다. 자기평가 후 학생들은 강의계획서보다 명확한 측정기준을 포함하는 자기평가지 가 자신의 성적을 예측하는데 도움을 준다고 평가하였다. 그리고 대다수의 학생들 은 이러한 자기평가지를 학기 초에 받는다면 성적향상과 수업태도에 긍정적인 영향 을 미칠 것이라고 생각하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 수행평가의 평가 방법으로 자기평가 방 법을 적용하는 것에 긍정적인 반응을 나타내었다. 본 연구는 학습자 중심의 교육환경에서 요구되어지는 자기평가를 실시하는데 있 어 자기평가에 대한 대학생들의 인식과 자기평가 시 보완해야하는 점을 제시하였다 는데 그 의의를 둔다.

영문 초록

The study was to examine university students who did self-assessments regarding their class performance and report their experience. There were 203 students performing these self-assessments at the end of the semester. Their assessments were compared to that of the teacher. The researcher then sent each student an email with a survey their experience and perceptions of the self-assessment and analyzed the survey answers using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Of the 203 participants, 41.9% gave themselves the same assessment scores as the teacher, while 26.1% scored themselves higher and 32% scored themselves lower. Even though 58.1% of the students assessed themselves differently than the teacher, 68% of them reported in the survey that they were honest and objective in making their assessments. Students reported that the self-assessment form would be a more valuable tool to predict their grade in the class than the class syllabus breakdown of percentages of the grade represented by tests, projects, participation, etc.. In addition, the survey results showed that participants believed their grades would be higher and their attitude in class would be better, were it given at the beginning of the semester. Moreover, many students indicated that self-assessments would be useful for performance assessment. Learner-centered education supports self-evaluations. This study will provide basic data to teachers wanting to understand the common patterns and perceptions of students when making self-assessments.
