국문 초록

초등학생 독자들의 남녀 성별 특성에 따라 그들의 시적 체험이 어떤 특성을 지니는지 살펴보았다. 초등학생 독자들의 시에 대한 선호도, 선호 이유 진술 자세, 시 읽기 과정의 시적 체험 특성에서 남녀 성차를 살펴보았다. 시에 대한 선호도에서는 전체적으로 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 고학년이 될수록 남녀 간의 주제 선호도에 대한 차이가 있는 것으로 보였다. 또 시에 대한 선호 이유 진술 태도는 남학생보다 여학생이 더 분석적이고 텍스트 중심적이다. 남녀 초등학생이 시 읽기 과정에서 겪는 시적 체험 유형별 특성은 남학생이 여학생보다 더 직관적으로 접근하며 독자 중심, 인상 중심의 체험을 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그에 비해 여학생들은 더 분석적이고 텍스트 중심적인 시적 체험을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 남녀 초등학생의 시적 체험 특성들에 대한 보다 세밀한 연구가 이어져야 하겠고, 이들 연구 결과를 충분히 고려한 시 텍스트 선정과 교육 방법의 설계가 필요하겠다.

영문 초록

I investigated what property the elementary school students\ poetical experience keeps in accordance with their property in sex (male and female). The difference in male and female was investigated in terms of their preference of poem, stance to state the reason for preference and the property of poetical experience in the course of reading poem. As a whole, there was no significant difference in the preference of poem. It turned out that the difference between preference of theme in each sex (male and female) becomes larger in higher grade. The girls\ stance to state the reason for preference of poem is more analytic and text-oriented than boys\ stance. It was found that the property in each type of poetical experience that male and female elementary school students have in the course of reading poem is more intuitive and impression-oriented in the case of male than female. On the contrary, girls have more analytic and text-oriented poetical experience. It is required to further study the property of elementary school students\ poetical experience in each sex. Then, it is essential to select text and design education method by fully considering the result of such research.
