국문 초록

본 연구는 K대학 유아교육과 4학년에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생들이 지닌 강점에대해 보다 깊이 있게 탐색해보고, 강점 탐구(AI)의 4-D 프로세스 활용을 통한 유학생으로서의 이들의 삶의 긍정적인 경험 변화를 살펴보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 K대 유아교육과 4학년에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생 3명이었다. 자료수집은 2016년 5월 23일～2017년 3월 7일에 걸쳐 이루어졌으며, 연구 참여자들을 대상으로강점 탐구의 4-D(discovery, dream, design, destiny) 프로세스를 토대한 이들의 유학생활의 삶의 변화를 관찰하였다. 또한 자료분석은 크게 3단계인 자료의 개방 코딩, 주제 발견, 주제 확정 단계로 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 첫째, ‘유아인’이 되어가는 과정, 1)유학생 삶의 터닝 포인트(turning point), 2) ‘유아인’으로서 기대하는 삶 상상, 3) ‘유아인’이 되기 위한 삶 계획, 4) 진정한 ‘유아인’으로 되어가기 등이 도출되었다. 둘째,더 나은 유아교사로서의 삶에 대한 기대로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 한국사회에서 생활하고 있는 외국인(중국인) 유학생의 삶에 대한 제언 및 교육적 시사점 등에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to observe which life the Chinese international students in South Korea are proceeding with making as those who are attending the Department of Early Childhood Education at local university, and to examine a change in experience of life in the students studying abroad based on strong points that these people have, through applying the appreciative inquiry. The research participants included 3 Chinese international students who are being in senior for the Department of Early Childhood Education at K university. As a result of the research, First, it was drawn the process of becoming ‘an early childhood educator, - 1) turning point in the life of an international student, 2) imagination of the expectant life as ‘an early childhood educator’, 3) a plan for becoming ‘an early childhood educator’, 4) proceeding with becoming a true ‘early childhood educator’. Second, it was indicated to be the expectation for life as a better early childhood teacher. On the basis of these results, a discussion was made about suggestion and educational implication on the life of foreign (Chinese) students who are living in Korean society.
